"diehard"? lol
You continually say how much you find baseball boring, and hate it, and can barely get through a game. I realize they might be your favourite team, in a sport you dislike...but "diehard" would imply someone probably watches 90% of their games. No offense, but I've found it funny that you dog the sport any chance you can get, but then use a reds avatar, and call yourself a diehard. Just confuses me!
Signed....Diehard Buckeye.
PS....I still love youLast edited by JohnnyMapleLeaf; 08-28-2007, 08:27 AM.Leave a comment:

Horfin- i am a die hard REDS fan! have been forever....i am not saying they don't have a chance....THEY DO...that division just is brutal.....but i just was making the point that they still have a lot of holes to fix on that ball club. And i have been hearing people on local Cincy radio saying that the REDS are all of a sudden a great ball club. They aren't . Fact is their pitching still stinks. Typical REDS actually....they are the most inconsistent ball club in the world. But don't get me wrong, i am loving every minute of it.Leave a comment:

You can't be real.....Thats what being a fan is all about. It makes it fun. Its been since April that we were actually close to being in the thick of things. I'm a homer, just trying to make the last 6 weeks more interesting. But even if they are just a .500 team, you said it best....the division sucks and that fact alone keeps them in this. The team that wins this division will be around .500 to .520. With the teams they play and the fading of Milw and the traditional Choke of the Cubs...they do have a chance.Hey Horfin- lets be real, though. The REDS STILL have the 15th best ERA in the freeking NL since the break. They weren't as bad as they were before and they aren't this good. Period and end of story. When the sticks cool down some they will start losing again. I repeat, they have the 15th ERA in the NL since the break. They are still coughing up a ton of runs. It's just that everyone is hot in their lineup right now(knock on wood) at the same time. Lets get real here Horfy. I am as big a REDS fan as anyone, but they are a .500 baseball team at best. Same thing was said today on WLW and i completely agree with that. Here's to hoping they continue to play well....and yes they have a chance only because that division is so piss poor......i picked up Keppinger about a month ago on my fantasy team...dang i hope he keeps hitting. He has been getting on a ton.

lol
We got 1 good starter and 2 good P outta the bullpen and a closer that only gives up ONLY 1-3 runs every time out. Wach you mean? LOL
Here is a DREAM:
Milwaukee wins 3 of next 3 against Chicago:
Chicago is then 66-66
Milwaukee is then 67-66
The Reds take 4/4 against Pitt makeing the reds 64-70
Thus by Thursday Night the reds are 3.5 games out??????Leave a comment:

LOL...sorry, Horf.
I guess I was just seeing it from more of FF's point of view...too horrible of a pitching staff to really make any kind of run, one would think...as it is tough for bats to stay hot for a real extended period of time.
But hey, stranger things have happened....and I would love to see it! :thumbs:Leave a comment:

And for those non-belie>ers (JML).....the reds are 30-19 since kickin' Narrons to the ditch. Best record in the NL and 2nd bets in the Majors, tied with Pittsburgh or San Fran with the best record in the last 10 at 8-2.
Also 23 of their last 32 games are against teams that are .500 or worse (only good teams are NYM and CHIC). They finish the season with three at home against the Cubs.
Horfin
you have proven yourself, as a "true diehard Reds Fan" :th:
Justa movin' on up

For those of you who don't watch the reds, remember this name:
Jeff Keppinger
Stif...You were right.
V3...I think you can get better odds on that now.
JML.....C'mon man...give me my four minutes of enjoyment outta this crappy season.
Nigel...The line-up has been kickin' it against RHP, as FF said the bullpen has been doin' so much better with Burton and Bray, as FF Said. If they keep Stanton of the feild they ha>e a chance.

Told ya a month or so ago that the Reds were (IMO of course) better than their record was indicating :beerbang:Leave a comment:

I hope you're right. My future bet (placed pre-season) got the Reds at 60-1 to win the WS :)Leave a comment:

Horfin- Burton and Bray have made a big difference (knock on wood) out of the pen in the last couple weeks. Hopefully Keppinger keeps hitting out of the 2 hole and Dunn forgets that he is the world's biggest choke.Leave a comment:

SSSSHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Don't jinx it, Horfin. I like the Reds flying under the radar. As soon as the Reds become a story (if they do), they'll go on a 10 game losing streak. They've made up 7 games in the last month. Pretty unbelievable. The offense is looking pretty strong right now too.
Pretty decent hitting up and down the lineup....where has it been all year?
Hamilton, Keppinger, Griffey, Ross, Dunn, Hatteberg/Conine, Encarnacion, Valentin
1 through 6 have definitely been getting the job done....but lets just keep this little secret between us.
Go Reds!!Leave a comment:
