NBA notes for Monday March 9th

Mem/Brook line continues to drop because of injuries on both sides.
Was 225 when it opened, down to 222 when I wrote my article this morning, sitting at 220 right now, and I even see a couple of houses at 219'.
I don't see a buyback coming on this one so I'll wait a little longer before buying it.

Also, with Porter out I'm looking at maybe laying a point with Memphis. Digging into some stats, if I end up buying it and think it's worth recommending I'll post the play here.

Anyone looking at the Cavs or the Knicks tonight make note of the fact that they're both in Game two of B2B's.
My stats show no real edge on either of them, side or total, ON or AGAINST.

    Update
Looking closer at this Memphis Brooklyn game I see that Brooklyn is playing tomorrow night which means tonight they're in Game One of B2B's.
    The Nets are:
    1-10 SU in this spot
    4-7 ATS in this spot
    4-7 Ov/Un in this spot.

That 4-7 Ov/Un spot does not bode well for my plan the Over tonight.
So I dug a little deeper.
The sequence is H/A (Home Away) which means they're flying after the game tonight.
When Game two is on the Rd the Nets in Game one are:
    0-7 SU
    2-5 ATS
    1-5 Ov/Un

More bad numbers for my play on the Over.
Not liking my position, I'm thinking I need to back it up with a second play.
Can't ignore the horrendous numbers on the Nets in thid spot.

The Nets are 4-9 SU after an SU win this season.
They won last night in one of their biggest upsets of the year, beating first place Detroit SU as 13' Dogs.
Only similar game I can find is when they beat Boston SUbas 14-point dogs.
They followed that W with a double digit loss.

Memphis, layng one point tonight, is 4-2 as a Rd Fav, and one of the two losses was an SU win by one point, so tonight's spread doesn't look too bad.

The Grizzlies have lost three straight and three of their last five, but the Nets have lost four of their last five; equally bad.

I like the stats AGAINST the Nets in Game one.
I like that Brooklyn's leading scorer Porter (who is also their top rebounder) is out.

And I like the Nets to come in a little flat after a big win in their last game.

This one opened at Memphis -1'sat there for most of the day but I see four or five houses including three of our sponsors at -1 now. I'm adding the grizzled ones.

    My plays:
    Mem/Brook Ov (wait to buy)
    Mem -1
