  • Suspensions PHO/SA

PHOENIX -- Phoenix center Amare Stoudemire and teammate Boris Diaw were suspended Tuesday for one game for leaving the bench after Robert Horry's flagrant foul of Steve Nash in Game 4 of the Suns' Western Conference semifinal against San Antonio.

The NBA also announced Horry was suspended for two games for knocking Nash into the scorer's table with 18 seconds remaining in the Suns' 104-98 victory at San Antonio on Monday night. Phoenix's victory evened the series at 2-2.

All three players will miss Wednesday night's Game 5 in Phoenix of what has been a rough, intense showdown between two of the best teams in the NBA. Horry also will miss Friday night's Game 6 in San Antonio.

Horry was suspended for flagrantly fouling Nash and striking Raja Bell about the shoulders with a forearm, NBA executive vice president Stu Jackson said in a statement. Stoudemire and Diaw were suspended for leaving "the immediate vicinity of their bench" during the altercation.

damn straight, i was still shytting in my pants when old school NBA bball would be tough plays and no whiny ass shyt. whoever thats crying about more offense and more finesse can open their mouth so I can shyt in it too! LOL

who says playing tough means you cant have high scoring finesse games also?

theres a fine line b.w finesse and bawling your eyes because your team go jobbed. like the Suns wouldnt be crying if it were kurt thomas being suspended 2 games, and Duncan and brent barry were suspended 1 game.....

"I feel it's terribly wrong," Suns owner Robert Sarver said. "I feel we've been unjustly penalized for the fact that we played a clean, hard game. I feel if any team should have been penalized in this series, it should be the Spurs and it shouldn't be us. I feel like I've just been punched in the gut."

when Duncan was tossed out of a game by a vendetta zebra no good shyt eating joey crawford, you didnt see him or the Spurs cry....

I'm sorry but this really chaps my hide, so I gotta vent.

I realize we'll never know what the Spurs would be saying if the roles were reversed, but everything's in hindsight right?

the point is, the Suns are all a bunch of cryers. from the Owner, to the Head Coach to their "toughest" player.

yes Duncan and Ginobili are the biggest whiners/floppers out there, they would be doing the same IMO, but you would never see the owner of the Spurs or the Popavich whining and complaining, "oh woe is me" like in grade school, "but he started it!"

just like when lil bytch stoudemire called the Spurs a dirty team, Popavich just brushed it aside, and just said, "he's a great player, and young." He just used that for motivation behind closed doors to the team to pump them up.

thats what the Suns need to be doing, shut the fck up, and go make the Spurs pay for what they did. You just beat them on their home court, at their own game...ok so theres a setback, you lost some good players, that should be enough motivation to go out in game 5 and wipe the floor with those dirty fcks, dont go home crying to mommma..

what a bunch of overpaid whiny assclowns. someone needs to shyt in their mouths LOL

I'm beating a dead horse I know, but I have to point this out, and this random comment I took off of an ESPN comment board, sums it up best I think. (at least from an objective point of view, I hope)

"This rule has been in place for at least a decade and has been enforced probably a half-dozen times in the past. So why all the whining now? No one's denying that Amare left the bench. So people aren't saying that they want the rule changed beacuse its unfair, they want it changed because it affects the Suns. Steve nash is everybody's new crush, so anything that stands in their way is evil. So now the Spurs, who've easily been the most clean-cut team over the last decade, are dirty, and David Stern, who's rule changes made it possible for the Suns to exist, is now executing some conspiracy to cheat them out of a title. Its laughable. And to compare the Duncan's leaving the bench with Amare's is absurd. play didn't stop, a foul wasn't even called. Even Elson didn't argue with the ref too much about it. There was never any chance of that evolving into a larger event. That's why Duncan wasn't suspended. What I love is the irony: Amare was the first to throw the word "dirty" out, and now he receives the most crucial punishment. That's high comedy."

except for the last part, I agree how all of the sudden, the boring "how the game should be played" clean cut Spurs are labeled dirty. The Suns (unless they win tonight) were robbed... I see this too, but to bring up this elementary crap, that when everyone knows the rules, but you expect it to be changed because you were affected is bogus, and none of this, "Well he did it too, or he started it!" crap either.

that was a flagrant foul, flagrant meaning intentional without any doubt of "accident", but it wasnt a vicious foul... a 200 lb PF coming at a PG would knock anyone on his ass. Horry got what he deserved, and so did Stoudemire and Diaw....until the NBA changes the rules..but for now, thats the rule.

It's obvious you're a homer Spurs fan so how the hell do you expect anyone to take you seriously with your little diatribe here?

That move by Horry the other night was a flat out bull**** pussy move. Add that to the fact Bowen continues to get his cheapshots in and Amare is 100% right.

What would you be saying if Parker and Ginobili were suspended? Whiny assclowns? That's exactly what you sound like. And don't give me this bull**** that "Pop" wouldn't be playing the media if a pair of his best players were suspended - he would as would any coach in the league.

So there's my vent...seeing how you were just replying to yourself.

if Parker and Ginobili were suspended, I could only hope the Spurs could still win without them. I'll be the first and if you read up there, I have said, that Horry deserved what he got if not more, and so did Stoudemire and Diaw according to the rule; if they change it tomorrow, and this happens again, then I cant say that.. no one can.

I also said I WANT to see Stoudemire and Diaw play, and I also said Phoenix clearly got robbed, just because I'm a Spurs fan doesnt mean I cant try to be objective....if it looks like I'm favoring one side too much, then I failed to put my point across in my soapbox diatribe.

actually my whole manifesto lol is just how ridiculous the media coverage is for this thing, especially when the same thing is going on in the other series, a la Fisher and Davis, Richardson and Okur, etc....

as for Bowen, even I cant argue for him, his shyt is ridiculously dirty tactics, but as he gets away with it, of course he's just gonna keep doing it. but Amare could just play and make the Spurs eat their words, all that whining doesnt accomplish anything.

Duncan whines too, I'm not defending him either, just because you root for a team doesnt mean you cant see that they are a bunch of crybabies too...

everyone in this series just needs to play and shut up lol.

and yes I am replying to myself because my friends are Mavs fans, and they already jumped off a cliff, so I got no one to btch to. lol
