No we still keep in touch, and get together to watch football a couple times a month....back in the day we hung out just about every night.... but things definitely change... not just with me, but them too as they started to get married... i think its the natural flow of things for most peopleLeave a comment:

sorry skins, im gonna change the subject, but i had to address this: LOL
- obviously I don't know your friends, nor have I met you physically, but I would hope you really didn't remove yourself COMPLETELY from them (unless you feel like they were a distraction or a bad influence)
I only say this cuz though I am not married, I realize once you are married, you are responsible for not yourself anymore, but your wife and your family.
however I still would like to think if one day I am there, I wouldn't forget my friends, I know its not possible to hang out or "chill" like we used to because like you said higher priorities, but nevertheless to sit back and have a few and watch sports from time to time is something I wouldnt trade away for anything.
I know you don't need me to tell you this, but I read this and it hit home, cuz right now of my close circle of friends, I am about the only one who's not married or in a serious relationship, and I know better than to expect them to always hang out with me or it be the good ole' days, but we all do try to hang out when possible.
anyways, just wanted to share this, you dont need advice from me, but as a single bachelor/7th wheel, lol lemme tell ya it means a lot when your friends still keep in touch.
:beerbang:
and yeah I would think we should have stuck to giving our condolences to Taylor, and leave the speculating to those soulless journalists. It doesn't matter how he got there, he's already there, and he can't come back. that is truly a shame. R.I.P.Leave a comment:

oh wait, here's the preface:"Being that there is no such thing as being found INNOCENT in a court of law, I would say having the charged DROPPED is close enough." Where is the preface there? Oh wait, there is none.
And you can ridiculously view being "proven innocent" as being the same thing as "charges dropped" (actually, you said charges "thrown out" which is something entirely different) as much as you would like, but that certainly doesn't make it so....but thanks for clarifying whether you are pretending to be stupid or are, in actuality, stupid (it's the latter in case you were wondering).
"to my knowledge, there are 3 possible RULINGS in a court of law.... GUILTY, NOT GUILTY, or DISMISSAL. To my mind, dismissal is the closest you can come to innocent...."

So I just read that 3 people were arrested and charged with unpremeditated murder in this case.
ESPN - Bond denied for three suspects in Taylor shooting - NFL
Seems like this was a burglary gone wrong and had nothing to do with Sean Taylor's past associations.
And skinsfan, you are wrong, there is a point to this thread which many of you have seem to forgotten. It is to express regret and sadness over this tragic death and wish Taylor's family well, and it's sad that got lost behind so much...bull****.
RIP Sean Taylor, may these terrible criminals be brought to justice.
EDIT:
And Mappo...shut the **** up. All people in our legal system are INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty. So if the charges were dropped the logic speaks for itself. End communication.Last edited by daft_picks; 12-01-2007, 03:05 PM.Leave a comment:

actually you are spinning... here is an example:
"YOU are the one claiming that there is "no such thing" of a declaration of innocence in a court of law. "
In actuality, I prefaced it with "To my knowledge." When you told me there was, I said i was interested in that (meaning, I was unaware of it and would like to know more) and asked for a link...
As I previously stated I WAS in fact using proven innocent and dropped charges synonymously. Thats how I view things... If there is a way to actually go to court and prove your INNOCENSE officially, as you state there is, then I was certainly mistaken in my assumption. However, I have already mentioned this earlier in this thread, but you won't acknowledge that (i.e. spin).
I am certainly not an expert on the law. I have already admitted that I was unaware of the ability to PROVE your self innocent, legally. My point has always been this: People in the media and in this thread bring up ST wielding a gun as a a matter of fact.... but in actuality, all of that is on the word of a man who has a TRUE laundry list of convictions.
In my mind, if the prosecution has a guy on the hook for up to 46 years in prison, and all of a sudden drops the aggravated asault charge, thats a pretty good tell. If you want to argue semantics, go right ahead... I'm not interested in it, so argue with yourself.Leave a comment:
