2008 NFL survivor pool??

Does anyone know where I can find a 'survivor pool' contest online for the 2008 nfl season? I wouldn't mind paying around $50 or $100 for a decent sized pool. If not anywhere online, are there enough people on here that might want to do one this year? Not sure if that is even allowed, so Kevin / Mods..if that isn't allowed, u can go ahead and edit this post..:thumbs:

im pretty sure yahoo offers survivor pools, you may even be able to find one on wagerline. Not sure if they allow you to do it for cash though.

lol..this is how bad it's gotten at Tech...we'd rather run the wishbone than suffer another season of the same ol' **** from Gailey...but really, i have no clue how Johnson's offense will work in the ACC...i guess we'll see...

now...u gonna answer my question about the survivor league??????

im in. a buddy of mine has run a 100.00 one in the past, but i don't know if he is doing it this year. i haven't gotten anything on it yet. set one up on Yahoo and post it and see who wants to play. im in.

paul johnson has done well everywhere he has gone with the wishbone. Hes won more games with less talent than a lot of coaches imo. I think the option will be quite scary with the acc quality athletes that he can get. Plus he used to coach at georgia southern and ran the wishbone there too and I'm sure he will know where to go to recruit option players. It should be interesting to see him run this with a much better defense than hes ever had. I think it will be fun and he will do fine.

i agree with part of that. but the wishbone is a gimmick offense and it is one dimensional. unlike the spread where you can run/pass option. to get a good QB to run the wishbone, you really have to get a run first QB. Even when ND ran the wishbone with success you're going to tell me Tony end over end pass Rice was good. Same with Michigan when they ran it in the 80's under that black QB who is eluding my ability to name him. Problem is that there is too much speed on defense these days. The one bonus is that it supposedly takes about 2 weeks to prepare for it and it will be something that teams won't see and may have a hard time with initially. I just don't see GTECH going 10-2 running the bone. But i do agree Johnson has had success with it. But if you also look at Air Force and Army and even Navy, it doesn't have near the success that it used to. I think it works for those schools because it has to. If the wishbone was still a viable offense i think you would see more of it. but JMO.

but yeah daws, at worst it should be interesting and fun to see what happens (though maybe not for BK...lol)

oh i agree, i dont think they will go 10-2 either but i think they could win 7 maybe. The acc isnt really the greatest. And you are also right when you say it takes time to prepare for the option. 1 week of practice wont cut it for most teams unless they have seen the option already that yr. Depending on the quality of the player gt gets I think you could see more passing out of it, but who knows.

IMO, GT will be much better under johnson once he's had a chance to recruit his players. I think the Johnson's tenure at tech will be much better than Gailey's and at this point, I'll take that..

They are all based in NY or NJ and have huge Pools, sometimes the pot is well over $500K. I've been playing there the last 2 years but have not had much luck, too may dogs biting but that's part of the fun.
