lmao...they draft a guy from BookieTech who repeatedly took plays off and doesn't go hard...then they grab a guy from Alabama with Weight and character issues.....it's like they are TRYING to find these guys......:dunno:

daws- maybe. i wasn't criticizing their picks' talent, but again 2 more guys that have major major question marks out of their top 3 picks. for an organization that has had SO many malcontents, guys with off the field issues etc....you would think that they would be trying to change the culture of that team.

yea, I understand what you mean, but I don't think the character flaws of this years guys are anything like in years past. Smith was unprepared for his workout and got suspended, but recently hes been saying the right things and I think he will be a great OT for them. I think their defense is going to be in the top half next year actually. Hopefully maueluga doesn't go out and get arrested next month lol.

I can sympathize with FF when the team brings back not once but what 3x a certain repeat offender like Chris Henry? Chad Johnson or Ocho Whatever Inco is just a distraction, I wouldnt say he is a character risk, I wouldnt know other than the circus attention he gets from the media, but as about off the field problems I havent heard of any so while he may push the envelope, Henry among others that I cant think of right now just need to go.

Clean house and start over. Look at the formerly known JailBLazers. they get rid of everyone, had a couple bad years, used the lottery to get a franchise cornerstone in Roy, surround him with Fernandez, Aldridge, and Oden (even if he looks 50 and plays like 60), they are in the playoffs and in the end thats really all that matters, extending your season.

anyone who has ever been involved in a group of anything knows that how the group goes influences how individuals go. it's how good kids go bad, when they start hanging with the wrong crowd. Same in football. If you have a great lockerroom full of character guys, you can often times take in a "broken" kid and fix him and set him straight. If you have a lockerroom full of Chris Henrys and Tank Johnsons and then you add a couple of kids with questionable work ethics and pasts....do you think that is a good mix for them to turn out OK?

At some point like the Jailblazers did, you have to start getting rid of the malcontents. If i were carson palmer I would be out of there faster than you can say out of there. But honestly, i saw this printed today and i agree with it....the bengals don't and have never considered a player's character when drafting them. To me, someone's character is probably the MOST important thing. Character says a ton about a person and is IMO the backbone of what someone is about.
