People that post insight are much more valuable than people that simply post records, imo. Obviously people don't have insight on every game, but you do a great job on the boards Stif.

I don't think Stif owes anybody any kind of explanation.

Guys can post or not post their records. Some, all, none, I dont care.

This is a place where people come to share info.

For a guy to come in here and stir up **** with his first post is kinda B.S.

Stif does a ton of **** behind the scenes here to keep this place a nice clean environment for people to come enjoy.

Frankly, I don't care if he came in, took a **** on the floor and smiled while doing it. He's earned that right.

Gambler, you have one post, you haven't earned chit here. Please find somewhere else to stir up the pot. You gone.

I'll bet you money that (those) idiot is a Cubs fan too!

Stif don't let that dork get under your skin. His post says newbie ... but it should say pubbie.

In no way do those two posters represent the state of Illinois. We're better than that. I had to throw that out there. I hope you keep posting and I respect your opinions and plays. Good luck the rest of the season.

Stif...I for one hope you keep posting. I don't need any records to know that I am always interested in atleast seeing your side since I think we have some of the same ideas when looking at games. It's too bad that people that don't post have so many opinions. Keep up the good work.

same guy. he used the same style in constructing his paragraph as well.

i came here looking for predict'em and i seem to have stumbled upon the kappa alpha sigma pi theta Sorority thread. ****, these people (this person) are (is) annoying.

the internet, unfortunately, turns a lot of pansies into superheros. if you dont like something move on, unless you have something constructive to say.

your analysis is top notch and i always enjoy reading your insight, Stiff. Record keeping is tedious and secondary to analysis, especially coming from you. Keep up the good work:beerbang:

IP addresses indicate that both bomber and gambler are from the same little part of Illinois.

Same guy? No way to prove it for sure, but I'd assume so.

    Draw your own conclusions....

Oh, and I love the little sarcastic comment about my losing seasons. No ****, find me someone who DOESN'T have losing seasons, or find anywhere that I ever denied having losing seasons.

I don't know how I got put on some kind of pedestal and somehow more seems to be expected of me than the average poster. I never claimed to be special or great, or even any good.

Anyway, after re-reading your post, those little comments show the true nature of your reply, the point of it, and the reason for it, imo.

Hard to believe you (and bomber) are just some random lurkers that signed up to make a point too, and somehow I'm the only one you needed to call out for anything. Hmmmm.....

First of all, I don't berate people or call them names if they are respectful in their replies. I took bomber's post as very disrespectful, and unnecessary. Probably half the people here don't post their record, but for some reason I get called out? Why is that? Could someone answer that?

I also gotta tell ya....first of all, you failed to mention that prior to 2 weeks ago when I did indeed go 1-whatever and lost a bunch, I went about 10-1 the week before that, and didn't mention the great week either. So it's not just "bad weeks" I don't mention after the fact, just to set the record straight there.

I posted the week's record yesterday as a bit of a joke. I don't care....really....and people who can't keep to themselves with their crappy little comments are the reason I stopped posting before, and it's why I will eventually stop posting again. I find it very childish and immature to "call people out", but then again, this is a past time for many childish and immature people.

Next, I didn't ever post a final record for NCAA foots. You make it sound like I had a winning season, so I had to like open a new thread just to tell everyone. Um, show me where that was.

I was just going to keep my "regular season" record separate from my "bowls" record. Heaven forbid. And I posted it along with some plays....plus I have been posting my NCAAF record with every post since I can remember.

I also cannot remember the last time I "bumped" one of my threads celebrating a winner, posted a "final record" for everyone to see just because I had a winning season if it wasn't part of a post where I was making a play, or posted any type of nonsense trying to draw attention to myself when I won or had a good season. The ONLY freakin threads I open are when I am posting a play. The idea that I of all people would be "chest thumping" is ridiculous and bordering on hilarious.

You want my NFL record. Here it is. 99-102 -8.14 units.

Now does that make everyone happy?

I don't know what you don't understand about credit for posted plays vs whatever you're saying either. What you said was exactly what I said. My real record is different than the record of my posted plays, so I posted nothing, as to not mislead anyone, BECAUSE i did not want to keep 2 records, as I keep my REAL record for my own knowledge, and wasn't gonna go filtering back thru to see what i posted and what I didn't. I thought that was pretty clear, but maybe not?

I would REALLY love if you would find ANYWHERE on this site where I have "chest thumped", or made it a point to highlight a "winning season" in any post where I was doing anything more than prefacing my plays with a record, because that is certainly what it sounds like you are saying i did.

This whole situation is just really lame, and I'll tell ya what....I got alot of **** towards alot of ****ers here that I've been holding in. Just wait till I start exposing people and pointing the finger. You want the old Stifler from UC back? You got it

Actually bomber makes a good point and you fell right into his "trap"..

I believe his point was that you some times don't post final records when you have losing seasons, which are often. I think he was commemorating the fact that you posted a final record for NCAA football for the first time in a long while, and his point was that it may have been due to the fact that it was a winning record. If anyone looks at the record they will find this to be true and for other sports as well. Actually sorry to say there is a pattern here. But of course you are a tremendous asset and a funny guy as well.

Now to this NFL situation, you haven't posted a record, evidently its a losing one, yet you have a great weekend and as you say hit some lucky parlays and now you post the record for the week? Yet you haven't nearly all year long..I looked back at your posts and it looks like you may have lost last week nearly as much as you won this week..what 1-13 and close to minus 40 units..yet there is no post proclaiming this? I see bombers point...do you not?

You also mentioned that and actually use as an excuse that the reason you don't post a NFL record is that you took a break. Again, from looking at your posts you took a break across the boards..yet you posted a final winning NCAA Football even though you took a break in that sport as well..thats weird. Besides everyone knows you only give yourself credit for posted plays, that is the only common rule on every board. So what is the confusion? Do you actually think or are you confused that you should give yourself credit for plays you never posted? Please, again no offense but your excuses are really lame.

Again I',m being brutally honest and I hope you don't angry and upset and call me bad names too, but come on do you think we are that dumb?

I hope you reply and don't have the post edited and deleted for shame, we live in the USA and I think we have freedom of speech. This post does not have bad words or personal attacks, just statements of fact.

Anyhow it seems you totaly vindicated Bomber with your NFL record post tonight..I think that was his point..However I may have misinterpreted him and I could be wrong.

Thanks guys about the parlay hit. I got super lucky with that steelers win lol

Daws - yea I saw that and couldn't believe it. I can only assume SD will be a huge public play there, but after Tennessee's pathetic performance in blowing their 18 pt lead vs
Miami yesterday, they're tough to trust. I mean they've won 7 of 8 themselves with the only loss @ undefeated Indy, so I doubt anyone should really be overlooking them at this point, and I'm not really sure what to think of the line. Interesting to see if it adjusts as the week goes on, and if the public does indeed pound SD
