I'm sitting here with the Pit/Cin and thinking well if I think Pit wins, but I am 0-7 should i go with Cin because I'll go 0-8, or I'll go with Pit becuase there is no way I could possibly go 0-8.

I was in Reno in early NOV like 4 or 5 years ago and having a monster CFB season to that point, and i proceeded to go something like 0-9 that day in CFB.....:dunno:...(which for some reason seems to suck triple time if you do it in an actual sportsbook vs. on line).....i literally spent saturday night wandering around mumbling how can I go 0-9??? Ripped up every ticket

Now that is f'in funny....fighting booby clarks....well done, FF. :laughing:

And fwiw, make money betting against X early this year. November and half of December are going to be brutal for the Muskies. They lost Redford for the season, then their extremely talented frosh SG, Justin Martin was ruled a partial qualifier and is out for the year, then they lost starting PF, Jamel McLean, for 4-6 weeks with a fractured orbital bone from an elbow in their first exhibition. X lost to D2 Bellarmine Saturday night, 63-61. They've go no go to scoters and their best big, by far, is out til mid December. They'll struggle to beat any mediocre D1 team at the beginning of the year. Next year though...whole different ballgame. X is bringing in some HUGE recruits for 2011 and 2012. Plus, they almost always improve and should be decent by February...not sure if they're a tourney team though this year. This year will test Mack....will be interesting to see how he handles it.

Xavier University. I'm the resident X guru here. I'm not the guy to tail because of allegiance to my Alma mater. But I can offer some local, little known info on X for this site. My info is that they couldn't beat FlyerFan, JoePa, BoilerBacker, me and you in a D1 game right now. Their past history of success (yes, they have a past history of success), will have this squad highly overvalued early this season. X hoops is my small contribution to this forum.....emphasis on small.

Actually, I played ML on cincinnati (unposted and like 1/20th of my normal bet) lost that too, so UNofficially 0-8.

Get this, I, like ff, was having a very good football season. Keeping quiet and to myself. Until the last three weeks.

Look:
NCAA FB (first Month or so): 21-13 +$616.74
NFL FB (First Month and a week): 30-23 +$500.09
First Five/Six weeks of both seasons: 51-36 +$1,116.74

Since Approximately 10/2 or 10/10 (I don't exactly remember)
NCAA FB: 18-26 -$921.05
NFL 15-23 -$899.97
ALL Football for the last Month: 33-49 -$1800.00+

The first 1/2 covers 87 games, the second half covers 82 games, I went from being up $1100 to being down $700.00

Luckily I had NBA and NHL winnings to smooth it out.
