"A man who is good enough to shed his blood for his country is good enough to be given a square deal afterwards. More than that no man is entitled, and less than that no man shall have."

DON'T EVER, EVER LET IT TURN BACK INTO THIS!!!

    God and Soldier

    "God and the Soldier,
    all men adore
    in times of War,
    and not a day before.

    When the danger is past,
and all the wrongs are Righted
    God is forgotten
    and the Old Soldier slighted."

the Duke of Marlborough, circa 1705 (aka: John Churchill)
Yes...that's Winston S. Churchill's relative, his own Father, Randolph, was
the third son of the 7th Duke of Marlborough.

PS: THE LATE LADY DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES; WAS A "SPENCER" AS WELL. That's the
    "S" in the Churhill family.

I hope we can be better than that this TIME around!!! :flag:

War is an Ugly thing, but not the Ugliest of things....

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things.
The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic
feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.
The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight,
nothing which is more important than his own personal safety,
is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless
made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

      John Stuart Mill~On Liberty 1869
