  • Wildcard Weekend Picks

My top play is Indy at a pick'em. I don't think this team is getting the respect that they deserve and I believe KC is quite overrated.

Next, I like Philly to beat N.O. pretty handily. Between the stats regarding dome teams playing outdoors being so one sided and the Saints putrid showing on the road this season (and the fact the weather is supposed to be cold in Philly this week) I just dont see them pulling it off. I like McCoy to get 30 carries and for Brees to freeze on the sideline while Philly employs a ball control offense. I'm not a big fan of Chip Kelly but he's pretty bright and he attacks other teams vulnerable points. N.O. is HORRIBLE at stopping the run.

SD and Cinci are two teams that can be pretty tough to figure out. I've gotta take the points here though. I could see this game coming down to last possession. SD's secondary will likely get exploited but again, so many points here (+7). I like the under here too. Not because I handicapped it, but because a guy I know that hit 65% ATS this season likes it a ton.

I LOVE SF to beat GB because everything points to the Niners, HOWEVER, the public are hammering them and the line hasn't moved an inch. Aaron Rodgers makes this a whole different team and the mystique of Lambeau is too powerful for me to pull the trigger.

It woudn't surprise me one bit if GB beat the Niners in a huge upset. Should be a fun game to watch!

On a more important note, I'd like to wish everybody a HAPPY NEW YEAR! and thank you all for hanging out at the site. I really appreciate your participation here and would like to take this opportunity to welcome any of the thousands of lurkers that read but dont post to sign up for a forum acct and post their picks.

I had one guy tell me that he didnt want to post because he only hits 40% of his picks ATS. I said "No offense, but there's a bunch of us who'd love to see your picks so we can fade them."

Hey man... IT IS WHAT IT IS! That's what makes a forum community great. We all pitch in together to help each other beat the books!

    Have a great weekend Ya'll!

very well said Kevin. Happy new year to you and your family! Thanks for letting us all hangout here, free of charge of course. You do a great job and provide solid picks along the way. I'm going to try and be around as much as I can this winter/spring.

    Cheers:beerbang:

Happy New Year back at you Kevin. Unfortunately we're on opposite sides today. Good luck with your picks, I can see the logic in your Indy/kc pick but have been riding kc all season so gotta stay with them. The only thing I don't like about NO is the 3-5 road record this year. I just feel that NO is the better team here.
