I hate the damn shootouts especially with a favorite. I figure odds are roughly 50/50 and i would like the dog in that situation.

I hate shootouts more than anyone. I am probably (no **** here either) 5-48 in games that went into shootouts this year, and I believe all of the winners, or at least 4 of them, were faves, and most of the losers were dogs.
