    JOEPA'S UPDATED YTD
    +34.50 UNITS

Another week, another implosion down the stretch....this time by youngster Seung Yul Noh who had a disastrous back nine and took himself well out of range of a Top 5 finish. Looking to get back on track with some more "youth" this week.

JONATHAN BYRD 6/1 E.W. - Won here in 2007! Has made 7 consecutive cuts and 5 Top 5 finishes this year---a career high---(T3rd Hyundai, T8th Northern Trust, T9th Wells Fargo, T6th The Memorial, T10th Crowne Plaza to go along with a T12th The Players) and earned a T22nd last week at the Greenbrier Classic where he ranked T2nd in birdies. So he comes in on an upswing and a very nice season going along as he ranks 24th in strokes gained putting and 17th in GIR from fairway bunkers.

SEAN O'HAIR 7/1 E.W. - Another player coming in on a hot streak as he T7th last week at the Greenbrier where he led the field in birdies with 21 of them and carded four sub 70 rounds going 66-68-69-66. The week before he T22nd at the AT&T National. He picked up his first tour victory in 2005 here so the course agrees with him. Has four career tour wins. What a better way to celebrate your 30th birthday by giving yourself a present on the weekend by getting another high finish on the leaderboard. Currently 35th in driving distance, 34th in GIR, 12th in birdie average, 9th in par 3 birdie or better average and 7th in par 5 birdie or better average.

CHARLEY HOFFMAN 8/1 E.W. - Really mulled this one over. He's been far short of spectacular on the year, you either like him or ignore him, and he's gotta be ranked high on the list of tour oddities with his long hair "just to sort of be different than everybody else..." and being "just sort of a free spirit, playing some golf". I think the fact that he has 3 Top 25s in his last 5 tour starts (T2nd Travelers, T22nd AT&T National, T13th Crowne Plaza) and the fact that his recent course form here has produced a T15th in 2009 and a T7th in 2011 warrant a consideration despite his frizzy locks. Last year he opened and closed with rounds of 6-under 65s here. Ranks 30th on tour in GIR, 33rd in birdie average, 13th in total driving, 34th in eagles.

SCOTT PIERCY 10/1 E.W. - Piercy is one of those guys who goes about his business quietly, and the first thing you know it he's passed you on the leaderboard. He's also got a bit of the hot hand of late with his T12th last week at the TPC White Course, where he had just 6 bogeys the entire week with all four rounds finishing in the 60s. He's made 9/11 cuts on the year which have resulted in Top 25s. And what's not to like about his stats where he's ranked 16th in driving distance, 10th in eagles per hole and 2nd in overall total of eagles, 8th in GIR from a fairway bunker, 50th in birdie average, 56th in GIR and 27th in final round scoring average. With his T12 last week he adds to his list of T12th Hyundai, T13th Farmers, T5th Transitions, T23rd Sony, T21st Shell Houston, T13th Zurich Classic and T15th HP Byron Nelson.
