yes i know exactly what you are talking about... people hated and feared GTown in the 80's... I'm probably the only person here that actually WATCHED college hoops back then.... people made up a lot of **** about JT because he rarely had a white player on his team.... so what that tells me is that you listen only to fans of maryland and other hoya haters... and not the truth... you ask ANY coach from the 80's if JT was racist and they will laugh in your face... he CONSTANTLY was recruiting white players.... but only the big name ones.... and he rarely got them.... Other big east coaches USED the label of a racist to help sway the good white kids away from GTOWN... here's a question.... if JT was racist, why did he have Esherick (a very very white guy) as his assistant coach for 15 years, and then HAND PICK him as his successor for the head coaching job when he retired?
