Syracuse / Pitt
You gotta like the under again in this one .
Pitt cannot finish a drive. If they don't score from 50 yards out, they have to settle for field goals.
Syracuse had a huge win Saturday over SF at their place...
Last week Pitt came out throwing the ball in attempt to open up the running game. It worked for awhile but they have no consistency.
Here is the thing, Pitt's other receivers do not scare anybody. Take away Baldwin you take away Pitt's passing game. They really miss Dorin Dickerson and Nate Byhum. Those two tight ends opened things up for Baldwin last year.
Without a tight end Baldwin is struggling. He never goes across the middle . Never. He only runs deep routes it seems like , outside the hashes.
I'm leaning under again this week in this game.Leave a comment:

FIU -5 @ North Texas - UNT on their 4th string QB lose to an Arkansas State team that has one of the worst defenses in the country because they pretty much can't throw the ball with a completely unprepared QB. With most of the rest of their 1st team offense also injured I see it being hard for them to put up more than 7-10 points against a defense that has played relatively well (relative to Sun Belt standards) against some tough teams on the road. Just my two cents on one game that really stood out to me.Leave a comment:

Oklahoma St +3 at Texas Tech? What has TT done deserve to be a favorite over a ranked opponent?Leave a comment:

Agreed! Very Bush.
It's too bad Brewster at Minny won't be around next year to use it as motivation.
I still want to know where this "chart" comes from and why it says to go for two when you're up three touchdowns.
Or did Bielema have a ticket in his pocket? Maybe trying to get over that 22-point spread the Badgers weren't covering yet??? Hmmm? Smells fishy.Leave a comment:

For openers, i thought it was bush. If it had been Purdue and Northwestern and Northwestern would have done that to Purdue (just an example) I would have said the same thing. I have always been under the opinion that you win and lose with class, but that's just me. Who knows if something went on in that game that nobody saw or heard about but......on the flip side...dude for Minnesota didn't need to spend 20 minutes whining about it in the press conference. He told him to f' off on the field and should have left it at that. He came across as a whiner (and he's gone anyway IMO) and beliema came across as a jerk in the post game so nobody was a winner......As soon as Bielema did that, I immediately thought to myself ... oh, Flyers is gonna have a field day with that move this week. Okay, maybe not immediately, but before the game was over I was thinking it.
Leave it to you Browneyes fans to take shots for a move in a game you had nothing to do with. I don't defend him, but it was Minnesota in a rivalry game ... but still.
And plus ... WHAT A STUPID F-ING CHART! The chart says to go for two up 30 points? Why? Who made that chart, my 5-yr-old daughter? That's what I find more alarming, he needs a frickin chart to "decide."
Even with all of the emotion and the home crowd I still don't think the Badgers can win. The Browneyes will have to play their worst game yet in order to not cover. Could happen, but I doubt it.
GL Flyers to you and your fellow Browneyes.
As for the game, I went 2 years ago....night game and all and it's a pretty intimidating place to play. I think OSU has the better team but Wisky always plays them tough and at the end of the day, nothing would surprise me. I probably won't get involved in the game. The one worry I have is that OSU has only played 1 road game this year and quite honestly looked like crap. But yes, good luck to you as well. Wandos will be rocking before the game....:thumbs:Leave a comment:

Also, i got nothing but wooohooooo text pages from OSU fans saying "we're #1 now"....that is the last thing they needed going to Wisconsin this weekend to play the Fighting poor sports of Wisconsin. My hope is that OSU is up by about 40 in the 4th quarter and then punches in a 2 point conversion on fat dick head and then says "that's what the chart said to do"......
. But I honestly think this is a close football game. Oddsmaker is leaning OSU or the line wouldn't have opened -6.........

with you on that one off first glance......i would say USC hangover off the way that Stanford game eneded but hangover for what.....they can't win the Pac10 or go to a bowl....so IMO, they come home and take care of CAL and build on the almost upset of Stanford. I find the line a little puzzling as it's only -2.5, though. I think CAL is garbage personally......they mustered nothing against an Arizona D that just got shredded by Oregon State and they couldn't put it on a UNR defense that i just watched get gashed by SJSU repeatedly last night........seems too easy honestly......Leave a comment:

gonna be a battle of the OSU rush D versus the Wisky Rush offense IMO. The interesting thing is that OSU is 5-1 ATS and Wiskydick is 1-5 ATS.....some early money in on Wisconsin......Leave a comment:

Purdue isn't trash...they have some key injuries and are playing a RSFreshman QB i believe....their O-line is weak but improving IMO. Oddsmaker knows all of this too so it isn't like they are giving away free money. Just like the TENN game last week.......remember how UGA was trash and there was no way they were going to win.......not sure if i get involved in that one, as PUR has no passing game and their pass D is suspect IMO which is MINN strength (if there is one), but MINN doesn't excite me as a small road dog....and early money in on PUR.....Leave a comment:

also don't agree with the initial line move in the OREST/WASH game.....opened pick and up to OREST -2 1/2.....i had OREST last week, but don't like the spot for them this week. For openers, Rogers is most likely out for the season and he wastheir big play WR. OREST going on the road for the 2nd week in a row in conference and off an upset of overrated #9 Arizona. Washington coming off of a home loss to ASU. I think this is a case of what was the last thing you saw. That will be a 7:15PM kick @ Washington who really needs this game big time. I think it's a good spot to take WASH as a home dog, and even better if that line gets to +3.
Chalkdog- i had HAW circled after watching UNR live last night......and that game should have gone over BTW....really bizarre game with 3 TD's called back by UNR on the same drive and the INT"s and turnovers in the redzone.....these teams will put up points this week. A bad SJSU team gashed UNR on mulitple occasions and HAW will do the same. Even the UNR announcers were saying how tough that game will be next weekend. HAW and OVER in that one IMO.
Another line i found interesting is the ILL/MSU line with MSU -7.5.......some dynamics in that one...you have MSU off of 2 straight huge wins over Wiskydick and michigan, while ILL comes in off of an upset win @ PSU (still not convinced PSU is not garbage this year, though) and a tough fought loss @ home to OSU. Will MSU let down or will ILL run out of gas playing their 3rd straight tough opponent. I tend to think MSU gets it done and the 7.5 is asking for ILL money IMO. Tough game and probably one i will leave alone but i was intrigued by the varying dynamics in that one......
SDSU +4 @ home to AFA......i mean last week they are going to BYU and are a 5.5 point favorite and now they are a 4 point dog @ home to AFA. I honestly don't think the oddsmaker knows what to do with SDSU. I actually am debating an SDSU play grabbing a FG+ as a home dog.
some bounce back lines....Florida -9.5 bet down to 8 early....Alabama opened 19 and up to 20 (sabin factor i guess).....Clemson opened 12 and up to 14.5....somiss after blowing a 20-0 first quarter lead on some just bonehead penalties/plays opened 14.5 and early money up to 15......
I did jump on Wazzu as i think that line is going to go down as the week goes on.....i may lose that game and Arizona may prove me wrong but i think they are the most overrated team in the top25 IMO.Last edited by FlyersFan; 10-10-2010, 11:16 PM.Leave a comment:
