I see a lot of talk about the Skins sucking. Is the NE/Indy discussion is still running???

My book has the early Week 9 line at:
    NE -4 (-125)
    Indy +4 (+105)

Very curious to see what the O/U will be set at. I'm sure the over will be pounded right at the release and rise unless it's astronomical to begin with. Although I'm sure a lot depends on how the NE O does v Wash D this week.

One interesting note. I wondered how Indy had fared as a home dog during the regular season. Knew I'd have to go back, but geez, I really had to go back.

The last time Indy was a home dog was 1999 v Buffalo.

This has little relevance to the NE game beside being interesting, but just thought I'd pass it along. Also, I only have a slight lean to Indy right now, but it's tempting to throw down on them this second getting more than a FG at +105.

One thing I'm wondering about if this weekend goes like this:
NE beats Wash by 14+ and look head and shoulders above.
Indy squeezes out a close one at Car.

What does the line come out as then????? Would any of you jump on the +4 right now, or wait??? Seems a few, myself included, think Indy might stumble somwhat, and IMO a double digit NE win is likely. So then what???

Trust me, the Lions offense is not that good. Their stats are what they are because of non stop passing as the resault of coming from behind vs Oak and Chicago and being down by 30pts the whole game to Philly. They can't run the ball at all. GB has a simple offesive plan Favre throw ball and hope arm is strong enough that day. If it is, they do well, if not safeties come over and pick ball off.

i think when you mentioned that you watched every game multiple times, that got Cuse and Nitts riled up.

shyt I cant even watch the same 30 sec commercial 2x due to my ADD, or whatever you wanna call the excuse of my generation

anyways, underdog, I completely agree, if not for the fact that I've been waaiting just waiiiting for the Pats to lose since week 3 when I personally watched them pile it on the Bungles. and Ive been wrong since then, but I still think Indy's D is better also, and that Pats cannot run the ball as well which will be needed in the playoffs and for winter football in foxboro.

        just my three cents

Just noticed the Pats are a 3 point favorite on betED (-110 either side). Can't get Sportsbook to load right now :bang: so not sure if they have it up yet or not.

Wow what a thread. Can we talk **** about the cowboys now? :sm:

I don't think the Pats or Colts are gonna lay down this week; there is too much at stake.
The Colts' players and their fans know the Patriots are the team they are constantly being compared to. Keep in mind that the Colts are still the undefeated SuperBowl champs playing at home (although that could possibly change this Sunday).

Will the Patriots defense be stout enough to stop the Colts? Last year, in the second half of the AFC title game, the Patriots let Indy drive the ball 76, 76, 67, 59 and 80 yards to score. The Pats will be better, even though in a personnel sense they're not going to be much different from the team that allowed 32 points in the last 25 minutes of the championship game.

Either way it's goning to be one hell of a game.

And yes, IMO CAR could easily win that one outright.[/QUOTE]

I think if you are going to wager and want to win, you put your money in the best position to win. I dont know how the hell betting against Indy with the Panthers, especially with Vinny Testeverde as QB, makes an ounce of sense. Its either INDY or NO PLAY. Putting money on Vinny T and Carolina, even at home, even with a short week, would never make sense if the opponent is Indy.

I'd snatch that up pretty quickly. IMO the advantage for the Colts lies in the defense. They will be able to pressure Brady without blitzing due to Freeney and Mathis getting up the field very well. The offenses are a wash, it would be splitting hairs to try to decide who has a blatant advantage on that side of the ball.
