Dallas at Chicago
WNBA Prediction
Today’s write-up will be short and sweet (hopefully “sweet,” won’t really know to the final scores are in, eh?)
Not a lot of time today because it’s Kid’s Day, also known as Camp Day for the WNBA, which means there’s a lot of early morning games, starting at 8:00 a.m. EST, leaving me little time to handicap, and write, and post, and get my bets in.
I’ve already posted two plays in The PredictEm forum for the early starts Seattle/Connecticut at 8:00 a.m. and Indiana at Hm vs GS, be sure to check them out (one of them is my favorite model/system/method, whatever the hell you want to call it.)
Tonight, Chicago is in the B2B situation, playing the second game on back-to-back days.
Here are the numbers for this spot:
7-2 ATS, Hm 4-2, Rd 3-0
Overs are 5-4, 2-3 when it’s a Hm team.
Chicago has already played in this spot earlier this season. On June 22nd, they were playing in the second game of a back-to-back situation. They covered the spread, and the game went over.
In it, they scored more than their season average PPG, and they gave up more than their season average PPG.
The game also qualifies as an Under in my T2 model for picking totals.
T2 has a record of 7-11 on Unders, a 61% fade, and anything higher than 58% is good enough for me to play.
The Sky are the Favorite in this game, laying just one point. Their record as Favs is 0-0.
That’s right, 18 games into the season, and this is the first time they’ve been the Favorite.
That’s what comes from being a team with a 5-13 record.
Betting on a team that’s only won five games all season long, and betting them as a Fav, isn’t a position I’d like to take, but look at the other side – Dallas is just one win better at 6-14.
Two of those Wings’ wins did come on the road, where they find themselves tonight, but they’re easily written off – both wins came against the Connecticut Sun.
The 2-16 Connecticut Sun.
Chicago is bad, but they’re not “Connecticut bad.”
Right now, you can get the total at 165′ at a few houses, including our sponsor BetOnline .
