College Basketball Line Movement – Steam Plays

Each day of the college basketball season we chart and track all the major line movement that goes on during the day. Some line moves are due to the public while others are created by wiseguys or sharp bettors in what are otherwise known as steam plays. We break it down and decipher which is which and post the nuggets here about an hour before the first set of NCAA hoops games go off the board.

This is a very interesting page to track so be sure to bookmark it and check back daily. Line moves and and will happen at any time, so check back often as well. Lastly, don’t let a line move be the sole reason you make a play. Please use this information to help your lean that you may already have had.

Note: This page is usually updated M-F at 6PM EST. if not earlier.

ATS Record (9-9) -0.90 Units

Tuesday, February 24th: The only line move we like today is St. Johns at +4. They opened at 5 and have been bet down despite the public hammering the other side. (pending)

Monday, February 23rd: Oklahoma opened as -3.5 favorites vs. Kansas.
The line has dropped to 2.5. Take the Jayhawks to cover on the road. +2.5
(win)

Sunday, February 22nd: I can’t believe we only went 2-2 yesterday.
Those players were as strong as I’ve seen in a long time. Oh well, onward
to Sunday! Very tiny movement today with all three of our picks only slighting
a half point. Illinois opened at +2.5 and has been bet down to +2 (win),
Georgia Tech opened at +7.5 and is now at +7 (loss) and Wake/Duke UNDER
opened at 151 and is down to 150.5 (loss).

Saturday, February 21st: Utah State started out as a +5.5 dog at
St. Mary’s. Utah St. may very well win this game SU as the Gaels have really
tanked since losing star playing Mills. Take the Aggies +4.5. (loss) The
St. Peters/Youngstown St. total started at 124.5 and quickly got banged
up to 126. It may move up again as well. Lock in on the OVER 126 before
it goes up again. (win) Lastly, Baylor opened at +5.5 at Okie St. The Bears
have a shot of winning straight up here. Grab the current line of +4.5 as
it offers great value.(loss)

Friday, February 20th: Cornell opened up at -6 at Yale. The game
was bet down to Yale +4.5. Take Yale to cover. (winner)

Thursday, February 19th: Oregon opened up as a +7 point dog at home.
It’s since been bet down to +6 and it isn’t the public causing the move.
(loss) We also like Gonzaga at a lofty -35 (opened at -34)(win) to beat
Loyola Marymount by FIFTY or more!

Wednesday, February 18th: Texas Tech opened as a +2 dog at home
vs. Okie State. The line is currently Texas Tech +1. Grab them before they
go to a pick. (loss)

Tuesday, February 17th: There were no line moves today worth noting.
Passing

Monday, February 16th: Passing

Sunday, February 15th: The UNC/Miami total opened up at 162.5 and

Saturday, February 14th: Purdue opened up as a -6.5 fav. over Iowa. It’s now down to Iowa +5. Bet on the Hawkeyes! (winner)

Friday, February 13th: Iona/Loyola MD opened up with Loyola at -3. The line is now Iona +1. Take Iona here. as it’s sharp action driving the line move. (winner)

Thursday, February 12th: Play Middle Tennesee State at -1. (loss)

Wednesday, February 11th: Purdue opened at -9.5 and has moved all
the way up to -11 at some bookies. Take the Boilermakers -11 (winner)

up with Wright as -5.5. Has since been bet down to -3.5. Sharps are all
over Loyola Chicago at +3.5 (loss)

Monday, February 9th: No big moves worth noting. Passing!

Sunday, February 8th: Washington/Stanford total started out at 150. It’s gone up to 154.5 despite the public one siding the under. We like the over 154.5 (loss)
