The No. 2 ranked Boise State Broncos willplay just their second game of the season, against the Wyoming Cowboys from the Mountain West in a non-conference match-upon Saturday night.

Boise State has not played since it’sopeningweek bigwin against Virginia Tech in Landover, Maryland. Kellen Moore’s 13-yard touchdown pass to Austin Pettis with 1:09 remaining in the game provided second-ranked Boise State with a thrilling 33-30 win over Virginia Tech in an action-packed season-opener for both schools.

It was an incredible night for Pettis. The senior wide receiver blocked a punt and caught a second touchdown pass for the Broncos, who last year became just the second team in NCAAF history to record a 14-0 season, capping it with a 17-10 win over TCU in the Fiesta Bowl. They seem to be on a mission to begin this season!

Playing out of the Western Athletic Conference forone last season, the Broncos have already started the debate if they can be BCS busters this year and reach the national title game. They accomplished the first step against what should be BSU’s only ranked opponent this season. What doesn’t help the Broncos is the fact that Virginia Tech lost toJames Madison last week. That makes their victory over Virginia Tech much less impressive. Don’t be fooled. This Broncos’ team is loaded and has one of the best head coaches in all ofCollege Football.

Wyoming lost to Texas last week 34-7, but did cover the large 28-point spread. The Cowboys entered Saturday’s game with heavy hearts following the untimely passing of freshman linebacker Ruben Narcisse, who died in a car accident on Monday.
Garrett Gilbert completed 22-of-35 passes for 222 yards and one touchdown for the Longhorns, who have won 16 consecutive home games. The Cowboys couldn’t run or pass the ball against a very aggressive Texas defense. The Broncos defense has a lot of speed and I just don’t see the Cowboys having much success against it.

The Broncos have too many weapons on offense with the likes of Quarterback Kellen Moore, running backs Doug Martin, Jeremy Avery, and D.J. Harper, receivers Titus Young, Austin Pettis, and Kyle Efaw. All of these players have skills that make it to the NFL. This team is loaded!

Jeff’s Pickto Cover the Point Spread: Boise State Broncos -23.5. Wyoming is 3-1 against-the-spread vs Boise State even though they are 0-4 straight up. These two teams have not played each other since 2007. The Broncos have two weeks to prepare for this game. Wyoming will struggle with the Broncos speed and high skill-set.Boise State by four touchdowns!
