The Ohio State Buckeyes entertain the University
of Buffalo Bulls
on opening day in Columbus, Ohio. This particular
scrimmage/game might be interesting with 3 Buckeye starters suspended for
the 1st game; Carlos Hyde, Bradley Roby and Rod Smith. Hyde was the Bucks
2012 starting running back and made the difference in last years Michigan
game. Rod Smith is Hydes backup and heir apparent as the next featured
back in the OSU offense. Bradley Roby was a finalist for the Jim Thorpe
Award in 2012 and is a pre-season All-American. All 3 suspensions make very
little difference in this game. Ohio State will pretty much have its way
with the Buffalo Bulls (Cmonthe Buffalo Bulls???). The University of Buffalo
is having identity issues these days. The Bulls (Bills?) have changed their
uniforms reading The State University of New York Buffalo plastered across
the front of their jerseys just above the numbers. Wow! Change your Uni,
Change your life??? Some creep in the Psychology Department at Buffalo
came up with that brilliant piece of work! The new unis aint gonna help
Buffalo; lets look at some numbers.

12-0!!!! Big number there! Thats OSUs record in 2012no Bowl game because Tressel/tattoos/funny money/lying directly in the camera prior (as in Terrelle Pryor) to the 2011 Sugar Bowl, all add up to sanctions. Pryor is now with the Raiders and I hear he makes an outstanding egg & cheese omelette! Braxton Miller is the showcase of this Buckeye team; a high quality, class act if ever there was one. OSU was 47th in the nation in total offense last year and brings most everyone back; especially Braxton Miller. The Bulls were last in the MAC in 3rd down conversions, next to last in the MAC in red-zone scoring, and Head Coach Jeff Quinn is 10-28 after his 4th year. Mr. Quinn will be poppin resumes at every away game stop because he wont be around for a 5th season.

The UB Bulls bring a lot of players back from last year, but those players arent very good so there is no sunshine around the New Uni boyz. The AD at Buffalo believes the Football Program must win to make Amherst, NY the Mecca of College Football. That is not going to happenever! Hopefully Buffalos AD will show us all how it is done when he fires Jeff Quinn and willingly wants to put his own words into action. That is highly doubtful; most Higher Education Supervisors live in lofty mountains chanting their own names over and over again. Buffalo will not only lose this game, Buffalo will be 0-3 before entering the MAC. Buffalo may not score a touchdown until week 4!! The Buckeyes are loaded this year and the suspended players mean absolutely nothing. The Bucks BIG in this one as the talent gap combined with a Lame Duck Head Coach means big numbers for Urban Meyers Run Up the Score list.

Tims Pick to Cover the Point Spread: Ohio State -35
