College Football Season Win Top Bets for 2025

College football is now just days away from starting and to help get ready for the new season and make it that much more interesting, below you will find 20 teams you can confidently bet to clear their win total, starting with five I believe you can double up on and take to win their conference championship as well.

BOISE STATE

Conference: Mountain West
Over/Under: 9.5 wins

A non-conference trip to South Bend against Notre Dame highlights the Broncos schedule, but short of that matchup Boise is set up well for another shot at a BCS playoff spot as they will find themselves favored in their other eleven games. They have done well of late winning when supposed to, having gone 22-1 straight up in their last 23 regular season matchups as a favorite, and that standings success should continue in 2025 on their way to hitting their over along with claiming their third straight MWC title.

PICK: OVER 9.5 WINS
PICK: MWC championship game winner (-135)

CLEMSON

Conference: ACC
Over/Under: 9.5 wins

The most difficult part of the Tigers schedule is the non-conference games that bookend their 2025 schedule, the opener against LSU and the annual finale versus South Carolina. Within the ACC things look much better as they avoid Miami and get SMU at home, which lines Clemson up well to not only hit their over, but also win another conference championship.

PICK: OVER 9.5 WINS
PICK: ACC Championship game winner (-115)

LIBERTY

Conference: Conf-USA
Over/Under: 9.5 wins

The Flames have been favored in 27 straight regular season games and that streak should continue throughout the 2025 campaign thanks to a schedule that doesn’t include the only other decent team in the conference (Western Kentucky) while also drawing their toughest opponent (James Madison) at home. If investing in them to go over their win total, I would double down and take them at +140 to win the Conference-USA championship as well.

PICK: OVER 9.5 WINS
PICK: C-USA championship game winner (+140)

MEMPHIS

Conference: American
Over/Under: 8.5 wins

A beneficial schedule breakdown sees the Tigers get six easy road games, avoiding both Army and UTSA within the American Conference and drawing their most difficult opponents at home where they are 48-8 over the last eight years. They are well worth your wager for conference title odds with the additional payout thanks to being fifth amongst American teams.

PICK: OVER 8.5 Wins
PICK: American Conference game winner (+575)

Note: Futures bets are a weird thing. On one hand, we’d all love to have some betting action and pull for a team all season, but on the other, we don’t want to lock our funds up for that period of time. The best way to deal with this scenario is to sign up at a new sportsbook who offers a 100% real cash bonus and use the bonus funds to place those season long bets. Not only will it not put the hit on your bankroll, but the wagers are “risk free” due to it being free bonus cash. We’ve setup a special offer with one of the best sportsbooks on the web in which you can deposit $100 to $300, use bonus code PREDICT100 and they’ll give you a 100% match. This isn’t a free play/match play either, this is a REAL CASH bonus! Take advantage of this offer today by going through this special link to sign up at Mybookie.

TOLEDO

Conference: MAC
Over/Under: 8.5 wins

Non-conference road trips to Kentucky and Washington State will be a challenge, but a MAC schedule that avoids both Ohio and Buffalo puts the Rockets in position to not only clear their projected win total but also an easy path to their third MAC title game in the past four seasons.

PICK: OVER 8.5 WINS
PICK: MAC championship game winner (+260)

ALABAMA

Conference: SEC
Over/Under: 9.5 wins

Despite having to travel to play Georgia, the SEC schedule lines up well for the Crimson Tide as they avoid Texas, Florida, Texas A&M and Ole Miss while also getting Oklahoma, LSU and Tennessee at home in Tuscaloosa, where they have gone 79-3 over the last twelve seasons. With their coach trying to get himself out of both the shadow of Nick Saban and the proverbial hot seat after an un-Bama like four-loss season, you can expect the team to clear their over and get things back to normal is Tuscaloosa.

PICK: OVER 9.5 WINS

GEORGIA

Conference: SEC
Over/Under: 9.5 wins

In the four years that Kirby Smart has been head coach in Athens, the Bulldogs have gone 46-2 in regular season games. This year they avoid both LSU and South Carolina and get nearly all their most difficult matchups (Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss) at home where they have won 31 straight. Not one to bet based upon trends, but taking them to have more losses in a year than they have had total in four, especially with the way their schedule lines up, doesn’t seem to be the best idea.

PICK: OVER 9.5 Wins

MICHIGAN

Conference: Big 10
Over/Under: 8.5 wins

Other than their annual regular season ender against Ohio State, the Wolverines have a near dream conference schedule as they avoid all four of the other top projected teams in Penn State, Oregon, Illinois and Indiana. With the stink of a five-loss season and title tainted cheating scandal still hanging over the program, Michigan will have plenty of motivation to get things right on the field and is set up very well to do so.

PICK: OVER 8.5 Wins

ILLINOIS

Conference: Big 10
Over/Under: 8.5 wins

A Big Ten schedule that doesn’t include three of the four top teams (Penn State, Oregon & Michigan), does include the bottom three (Maryland, Northwestern & Purdue) and also has them playing both Ohio State and USC at home sets the Fighting Illini up for a similar run as Indiana a season ago. If you find yourself big on them as well, it might be worth the 30-1 dart throw on them to win the Big 10 championship in the hopes the schedule allows them to sneak their way into the title game.

PICK: OVER 8.5 Wins

BUFFALO

Conference: MAC
Over/Under: 7.5 wins

After a tough opening week non-conference draw at Minnesota, the Bulls are in great shape the remainder of the year as they avoid both Toledo and Northern Illinois out of the MAC while getting all of their most difficult games at home (Ohio, Miami Ohio, Troy and UConn).

PICK: OVER 7.5 WINS

LOUISIANA

Conference: Sun Belt
Over/Under: 7.5 wins

Short of matchups against James Madison and Missouri, the Ragin’ Cajuns could find themselves favored in all ten of their other games thanks to an easy trio of remaining non-conference opponents (Rice, McNeese St. and Eastern Michigan) and a Sun-Belt schedule that avoids Georgia Southern and ODU while getting Texas State at home.

PICK: OVER 7.5 Wins

SAN JOSE STATE

Conference: Mountain West
Over/Under: 7.5 wins

The MWC schedule gods were kind to the Spartans this year as they avoid Boise State, UNLV and Colorado State while also drawing Air Force and Fresno State at home. Last season they were underdogs in all four conference road games, this year they will be favored in all four. With all that combined San Jose State is one of my favorite picks to clear their win total this season.

PICK: OVER 7.5 WINS

UTSA

Conference: American
Over/Under: 7.5 wins

After a tough week one matchup at Texas A&M, the Roadrunners are primed for success in 2025 that’s in large part to a conference schedule that misses out on the projected top teams (Memphis and Navy) and gets the next two at home (Tulane and Army) where UTSA is 27-2 in their last 29 games.

PICK: OVER 7.5 Wins

WESTERN KENTUCKY

Conference: Conf-USA
Over/Under: 7.5 wins

The Hilltoppers avoid Liberty on their 2025 slate and should only be underdogs in two games all year (LSU and at Toledo). With their remaining ten games against teams that start the season ranked lower than 100, they are well set up with a two-loss cushion to be able to easily clear their win total.

PICK: OVER 7.5 WINS

HAWAII

Conference: Mountain West
Over/Under: 5.5 wins

Only two teams in the MWC have just five road games and the Rainbow Warriors definitely benefit from being one them considering they are 2-15 in their last 17 away matchups. They also get all of their most winnable games at home which should help head coach and former fantasy college football legend Timmy Chang lead his team to a possible winning record for the first time since 2019.

PICK: OVER 5.5 WINS

HOUSTON

Conference: Big 12
Over/Under: 5.5 wins

The schedule sets up well for the Cougars thanks to an easier non-conference slate that has them dodging Kansas State, Iowa State and Utah and getting some of their most winnable games (Arizona, West Virginia and Colorado) at home within the Big 12. That should be enough to get back to a bowl game for the first time in three years, but they will undoubtedly need to improve their play on the road having gone just 2-9 over the last two years.

PICK: OVER 5.5 WINS

PITTSBURGH

Conference: ACC
Over/Under: 5.5 wins

The Panthers have plenty of returning experience and should be able to build early season momentum with a majority of their easier matchups awaiting them in September, which combined with a schedule that includes only five road games and avoids within conference both Clemson and SMU has Pat Narduzzi’s squad looking bowl bound in 2025.

PICK: OVER 5.5 WINS

SAM HOUSTON

Conference: Conf-USA
Over/Under: 4.5 wins

Beginning the year with road games in four of the first five weeks and having seven overall away trips on the schedule definitely isn’t ideal, but the Bearkats have at least shown an ability to win when traveling as shown by their 15-8 record over the last five years in such situations. I don’t think they have a chance of matching last season’s ten-win mark, but I definitely believe they can achieve at least half of that to clear their total.

PICK: OVER 4.5 WINS

NORTHWESTERN

Conference: Big 10
Over/Under: 3.5 wins

Home matchups against Western Illinois, ULM and Purdue should help the Wildcats in the standings which combined with their ability to win as an underdog (ten of their last fourteen victories have come as a non-favorite) should be enough to get the Wildcats over the 3.5-win hump.

PICK: OVER 3.5 Wins

KENT STATE

Conference: MAC
Over/Under: 1.5 wins

The Golden Flashes have just one win over the last two years and a schedule that includes seven road games. That may sound like things don’t set up well for a bounce back season for, but they need just two victories to reward over bettors and should be able to at least hit that mark thanks to home games against Merrimack, UMass, Bowling Green and Central Michigan along with upset possible away matchups versus Ball State and Akron.

PICK: OVER 1.5 WINS
