Weekly Review and Rant

I gave out four bet recommendations this week and went 2-2.

I have nothing to Rant about because neither of my two losses involved North Carolina State.
If you didn’t see it, the Wolfpack were in victory formation, but backed up against their own end zone. With six seconds left on the clock their QB took the snap, fumbled, and broke North Carolina State fan’s hearts as Vanderbilt recovered for a game winning touchdown.

NFL Review

I played ON the Giants in week 1 and AGAINST them in week 2. In my analysis on their season opener against the Cowboys I wrote, “If you’re going to bet the Giants better to do it early in the season because some time in the not so distant future Dart is going to get hurt just like he always does, and it will be the end of the Giant’s season.”

I was just voicing my opinion, I didn’t mean to jinx the kid, but on the Giants first series against the Rams, Dart suffered a sprained MCL and was KO’d from the game.

I laid the six and a half points with the Rams.
Final score, LA wins it 28-6.
My NFL moves to 2-0 on the season.

Looking ahead to this week, my best spot is WF1 Rd team Fades, the same play I used to go against the Giants last week.
Current record is now 1-4 for this play.

College Football Review

College football record now 6-6, which means this is an important week coming up.

How bad are the Wyoming Cowboys?
Central Michigan had 214 rushing yards in the FIRST HALF. They scored a touchdown with three seconds left in the half, putting the game out of reach before halftime.

Wyoming is on my S*** List.
I’ll be waiting for a revenge spot somewhere during the season.

My other loss was with Buffalo/Penn St Un.
Penn State’s score put the game Over all by themselves. I made the wager based on one of my handicapping models that had a record of 7-1.
I was hoping to get on a streak early before it leveled out, but the play went 2-5 last week.
Fortunately, I only played the one spot, not multiple games.
This play is now 6-3 Ov, 9-6 Un, both still strong enough for me to make a play this week if I have anything that qualifies.

One of my other unique handicapping models for choosing totals has a record of 2-8 on Unders. Good Fade material there at 80%.
I’ll finish handicapping those on Thursday morning and if anything qualifies I’ll write up an article on it.

I just finished part of my handicapping and unfortunately again this week I have nothing that qualifies for my best play from the last six years, the NP Under. But I have two games that are close, if their totals drop just one half point more I can get a play or two.
Be sure to check the PredictEm Forum for my Saturday morning update.

WNBA Review

Only two days left in the season, Wednesday and Thursday. With the extra factor of trying to handicap who’s going to play hard to try and win and who’s quitting I’m not going to play any games on either day.
Final record, regular season, 31-26.
Hit two of my three goals:
Didn’t LOSE any money.
Finished with a profit.

For Regular Season Wins I took both expansion teams Under.
Port Un 10′, they won 17 games; loser.
Tor Un 15′, they won 11 games; winner.
A split.

Next up – the playoffs.
