NBA line movement is a great handicapper helper and can alert you to a play having some value or conversely it can knock you off of a play you were considering taking.
We watch the lines/odds move all day long and then report here each day around 5PM EST to advise whether any of the moves are worth following. This is usually one of our most valuable picks.
As a sidenote, don’t be surprised if we pass often on this page as we’ll only recommend a play if we can determine the reason for the move and make sure that the change in line/odds offers value. Enjoy!
Line Move Plays ATS Record 9-5 +3.50 Units
Tuesday, February 24th: We’re actually fading a line move today as the Bobcats/Suns game opened at 223.5 and has gone down to 222.5. We’re on the over so that works out well for us! (pending)
Monday, February 23rd: Passing.
Sunday, February 22nd: No real big moves today. We’re on some half
point moves: Bucks opened at +3.5, bet down to +3 (win). Raptors opened
up as -3 favs, bet up to -3.5 while public is hitting the other side, nice
sharp action play for ya. (win). Lastly, we’re fading a line move which
we don’t do often. Bos/Phoenix UNDER opened at 225. it’s down to 222 now.
We’re taking the OVER as the new coaching staff is really forcing the tempo.
Boston will surely try to slow it down, but with Garnett today, a younger
Celtics team may be more inclined to run. We like the OVER 222. (win)
Saturday, February 21st: Passing
Friday, February 20th: Passing to assess post all star break info.
Thursday: Detroit opened as a 1 point dog. They’re now sitting as
a -1 favorite. Take the Pistons -1 (loss)
Wednesday, February 18th: Golden State opened as a +5 dog. It’s just starting to move down. The public is one siding the Lakers and G.S. is definitely a sharp play. Grab them at +4.5 before the line drops even more which it probably will. (loss)
Tuesday, February 17th: Passing
ALL STAR BREAK – ENJOY!
Thursday, February 12th: Great day yesterday. For records purposes
we went 2-1, but if you got the Clippers line at your book at 4 or better
you pushed or won. That’s the risk of chasing line moves, the move SOMETIMES
sucks the value out of the play. We’ll still finish the season up though!
Today’s only play is the UNDER 216 in the Portland/Golden State game. It’s
dropped a point and the public is one siding the other side so that’s good
news for us UNDER bettors tonight. (winner) Good luck!
Wednesday, February 11th: We like 3 games which have had line moves
today. NY/LA opened with the Clips as a -3 favorite. It’s since been bet
up to -5. Take the Clippers -5 as the Knicks will be short handed tonight
as many of their players are hurt. (loss) The Oklahoma City/Portland total
opened at 202. It’s current at 201. Sharps have been hitting the under and
I expect it to drop again before gametime. Play UNDER 201 (win). Lastly,
the Lakeshow opened as -2.5 favorites and it’s down to -1 now. Take the
Jazz at +1 to win on their home court tonight. (win)
Tuesday, February 10th 2 plays today. The Kings opened as a 12 point dog. Have since been bet down to +11 (loss). Sharp money responsible for the move. Take the Kings as they should cash. Lastly, the UNDER in the Cavs/Pacers game opened at 210.5 and is now at 208. Take the UNDER (winner)
Monday, February 9th: Clippers/Bobcats opened with Charlotte at
-2.5. The line has since been bet down to -1.5 and it’s sharp money driving
the move. Take the Clippers at +1.5 who SHOULD win straight up. (loss)
Sunday, February 8th: LA/Cleveland total opened at 205.5. It’s down
to 204 despite public one siding the over. We like the UNDER 204 here.(win)
Saturday, February 7th: No major moves. Denver/NJ started out with Nugs favored by -3. Line has dropped 1/2 point to -2.5. We like the Nets at +2.5 (Win)
