Good News Ya’ll! The NFLPA and Commissioner Roger Goodell are currently in talks for a 6 year collective bargaining agreement. This is huge positive news. - 6/30

Houston Texans: The team has announced that Arian Foster tops the depth cart for running backs. The team says that Steve Slaton will still see a large role in the team’s offense. - 6/19

Marshawn Lynch Update: Rumors out of Seattle are that the Seahawks might make a play on the disgruntled RB if the price tag isn’t too high. - 6/14

Ravens Look to Strengthen Kicking Game: Rumors are that Baltimore is likely to sign free agent K Shayne Graham to a one year deal. Despite having an off-year in 2009, Graham is the NFL’s 4th most accurate kicker. (All-Time) - 6/1

Friday NFL Notes: Vikings QB Brett Favre underwent surgery today on his injuried ankle. Many think that he will indeed be back in purple for the 2010-2011 NFL season. Chargers defensive stopper Shawne Merriman is said to be in talks with the SD Chargers. Merriman is a restricted free agent who is looking for a long term deal and the rumor is the Chargers want him back, but not with a long term deal. - 5/21

NFL News and Notes: The Cleveland Browns are expected to have Jake Delhomme as their starting QB. Ex-Seahawk Seneca Wallace would step in to start if Delhomme faulters in pre-season action. The NE Patriiots have released veteran CB Shawn Springs who says he still wants to play somewhere in 2010. Rams RB Steven Jackson is rehabing from surgery he had to repair a herniated disc in his back. He plans to be at full strength for Week 1. Free agent Daunte Culpepper is expected to sign with Sacramento of the UFL. - 5/18

On the Block: The San Diego Chargers are reportedly unhappy with Shawne Merriman and are said to be shopping him. The rumor is that the New Orleans Saints are very interested. - 5/13

Still Undecided: Vikings QB Brett Favre is still undecided on whether he’ll have surgery on his left ankle. Either way, speculation is that he will indeed return for this year’s NFL season. - 5/13

Trade: The St. Louis Rams have acquired LB Bobby Carpenter from the Cowboys in exchange for OT Alex Barron. - 5/11

Best the Best in Motown: The Lions are planning on using rookie RB Jahvid Best as their featured back this season. - 5/3

Pacman Gets Another Life? Rumor has it that the Cincinnati Bengals are going to sign Pacman Jones. Why does this not surprise us? The Raiders and Bungles should merge so we can all stop trying to figure out which franchise has the dumbest brass.

Birds Sign OT: The Arizona Cardinals have signed OT Alan Faneca to a one year deal. - 4/27

Bust: The Oakland Raiders are expected to release QB JeMarcus Russell later this week. The signing of Jason Campbell pretty much sealed Russell’s fate. There’s also rumors that Russell is pushing 3 bills on the scale as well. - 4/27

QB Signings: Ex-BYU QB Max Hall has signed with the Arizona Cardinals. Ex-Ole Miss QB Jevan Snead has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Lastly, Ex-Nittany Lion QB Darryl Clark has signed with the Washington Redskins. - 4/27

Charger Coach Excited: Norv Turner was quoted as saying that his new RB Ryan Matthews will get 250+ carries and around 40 receptions this year. Big words for a guy who has never played football on Sunday! - 4/26

Rosters Trimmed: Today the Tampa Bay Bucs cut 6 players including DT Chris Hovan. Michael Clayton was expected to be cut but the team will apparently instead try to trade him. The Pats cut OLB Adalius Thomas. - 4/26

Big Ben Suspended: The NFL has suspended Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger for 6 games due to personal conduct. The suspension could be reduced based on good behavior. - 4/21

Big Ben on the Block? Rumors are swirling that a few teams have contacted the Steelers about a potential trade for QB Ben Roethlisberger. Word is that the Rooney’s would consider a deal for the right price. - 4/20

Fins Sign WR: The Miami Dolphins have signed WR Brandon Marshall to a 5 year deal. This is a surprising move for a team that hasn’t had a top flight receiver since the Duper and Clayton days.

Trade: The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded WR Santonio Holmes to the NY Jets for a 5th round draft pick. - 4/12

McNabb Traded: The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to trade QB Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins. We’ll break full details on this trade Monday. - 4/4

Skins Sign RB: Washington has signed “Fast” Willie Parker
to a one year deal.

T.O. a Skin? Redskins QB Donovan McNabb is asking the team’s management to consider signing WR Terrell Owens. - 4/20

Retirement Announcement: K Jason Elam has retired. He’ll go down as one of the best ever after a very successful 17 year career. - 3/31

NFL Notes: Texans Middle Linebacker Demeco Ryans was awarded a 6 year deal. He is considered to be one of the best linebackers in the game. The Philadelphia Eagles have come public and said that QB Michael Vick is no longer on the trading block.

Play it Again Al: News out of Raider camp is that the team is interested in acquiring Vikings 3rd string QB Sage Rosenfels. The moves by this team continues to mistify Raider Nation. Rosenfels is horrible. The team is also said to be interested in Donvan McNabb whose departure from Philly seems imminent at this point. - 3/29

Lions Active in Off-Season: The Detroit Lions have acquired QB Shaun Hill from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 7th round draft pick in 2011. - 3/15

Broncos Obtain Quinn: The Cleveland Browns have traded QB Brady Quinn to the Denver Broncos in exchange for Broncos acquired QB Brady Quinn from the Browns in exchange for FB Peyton Hillis, a 2011 6th round draft pick, and a conditional late-round pick in 2012. - 3/15

Jets Sign Tomlinson: RB LaDainian Tomlinson has signed a 2 year deal with the New York Jets. - 3/15

Skins Sign RB: The Washington Redskins have signed RB Larry Johnson to a 3 year contract. - 3/13

The Chicago Bears have signed TE Brandon Manumaleuna to a 5 year deal. The Chicago Bears have signed RB Chester Taylor to a 4 year deal. Julius Peppers has signed a 6 year deal with the Chicago Bears.

Open Season For Free Agents: As of 12:01 AM Friday, teams are allowed to sign free agents. The biggest rumor as of right now is that Julius Peppers is likely to sign with the Chicago Bears. RB Willie Parker is likely to sign with the TB Bucs. We’ll post them here as they happen. - 3/5
