It’s Official! Packers QB Brett Favre has filed for reinstatement. – 7/29

Pats Do it Again: The Patriots have signed RB LaMont Jordan. Jordan has been treated like trash in the media and unjustly so. You could have put Eric Dickerson behind the Raiders offensive line and had the same results Jordan had. Not his fault. He should flourish in N.E. – 7/26

Favre Update: Rumors are flying that he’s talking to both the Jets and Bucs. Don’t be surprised if he doesn’t end up in either location though. In other news, the Steelers signed RB Rashard Mendenhall to a 5 year deal. Many see the former Illinois standout as a one year wonder, man are those people in for a treat. This guy is the real deal. In other news, the Cowboys finall wavied WR Terry Glenn, a move that was about 6 months overdue. – 7/25

Holding Out: Rams RB Steven Jackson who is in the 5th year of a 5 year contract is said to be holding out. Dude, you signed the deal, hold up your end of it, perform well and getcha a nice fat deal next year. – 7/25

Brett Favre has told Packers GM Ted Thompson he plans on reporting to training camp, reports Adam Schefter. Favre is expected to submit a letter seeking reinstatment to the NFL as early as today.

Dolphins Finally Deal Taylor: The Washington Redskins have acquired Defensive End Jason Taylor for a second-round draft choice in 2009 and a sixth-round pick in 2010. – 7/20

NFL News and Notes: Journeyman QB Trent Dilfer has officially retired. A great career for a QB with somewhat limited skills. The Minnesota Vikings are said to have interest in Packers QB Brett Favre. Now wouldn’t that be something! Minnesota plays AT GREEN BAY in week 1 on MNF! LaMont Jordan is checking out the Detroit Lions as his new home. More to come later as the season gets closer!

Favre to un-retire? Rumors out of Green Bay are he wants to play football again. What will this do to Aaron Rodgers? The Packers supposedly really don’t want him back. Will Favre be forced to play for another team? Stay tuned, it’s gonna get interesting! – 7/8

As Expected: Ravens Pro Bowl OL Jonathan Ogden will officially announce his retirement Friday. – 6/11

Breaking News: Giants all-time sack leader Michael Strahan has retired. – 6/9

R.I.P. Steel Curtain member Dwight White died today as a result of complications from back surgery. White, an integral part of what may be the best defense ever, was 58. – 6/6

Shut up Tuna! Anybody else sick of the Jason Taylor drama? I wanna be traded, no, I wanna stay, no, I want out. Then we hear that he wants to stay now word is coming out that the Dolphins are open to trading him but only for a 2nd round pick or better. STFU and play ball you morons. WE DON’T GIVE A CHIT. – 6/6

Say McWHAT! The Raidas have signed rookie RB Darren McFadden to a 6 year 60 million dollar contract. Fat coin for an unproven RB. – 6/6

UH-OH: Details are coming out in the wash that as many as 4 witnesses put Bills RB Marshawn Lynch at the wheel during a hit and run accident that involved an SUV registered in his name. Things aren’t looking good for Marshawn. – 6/6

Misc. Notes: Ravens OL Jonathan Ogden has supposedly told his friends he is going to retire, however he hasn’t made this announcement to team officials yet. The big man is surely one of the best OL’s to ever play the game and it’d be a huge blow to the Ravens team to lose him. Raiders RB LaMont Jordan has been told that he won’t be practicing with the team which means a move will be made soon. Expect Jordan to catch on someplace elese and produce good numbers. Another poor move by the Raiders. How about fixing your offensive line first, THEN blaming Jordan for poor numbers if he doesn’t produce. Novel concept eh? Lastly, the Cowboys have signed T.O. to a 4 year contract extension. Risky business for such a volitale player such as Owens. – 6/3

RB Released: The Broncos released RB Travis Henry today after questioning his committment to the team. This means backup Selvin Young moves into the starting lineup. Young, a stud performer, has set a goal to reach 2000 yards this season. – 6/2

Jets Sign RB: The NYJ signed RB Musa Smith today. Smith, a former Raven, has great speed for his size and should prove to be a productive backup to starter Thomas Jones. – 5/28

Off the Field: Unbeknownst to many, former Giants DL George Martin is 2684 miles into his NY to SD walk to benefit the rescue teams of 9/11. Martin has raised over 2 million dollars during his journey that started last September. Props to you big George, a giant both on and off the field. – 5/24

Falcons Lockup QB: The Atlanta Falcons made it very clear who their QB is today as they signed top draft pick Matt Ryan to a six-year, $72 million contract. – 5/21

LB Dan Morgan Retires: One of the NFL’s better defense backs retired today due to injury problems. A great LB who just couldn’t stay on the field. Thanks for the memories! – 5/19

Worth a Chuckle: Falcons WR Joe Horn has requested to be traded after finding out he won’t be starting this season. Did anybody bother to tell Joe he’s over the hill and there’s no demand for him? – 5/12

Nice Leg! The Chicago Bears have signed K Robbie Gould through the 2013 season. – 5/12
