3 NFL Points Spreads

Monday Night Football Preview and Pick: (9/28)
Carolina Panthers vs. Dallas Cowboys

Post Week 3 NFL News: Bucs fans rejoice! The team has finally deciced to yank Byron Leftwich and replace him with Josh Johnson. Rams QB Marc Bulger sustained an injury to his rotator cuff Sunday. Look for Kyle Boller to replace him. Dolphins QB Chad Pennington may have a tear in his shoulder. I hope not, because Chad Henne who replaced him, looked like absolute @$#!! I bet the ‘Phins are wishing they had Sage Rosenfels back. Rams WR Laurent Robinson has an MCL issue which may cause im to miss quite some time. If the Rams WR corps weren’t thin already, this is really bad news for them. Maybe they should just go with the “Wildcat” and have RB Steven Jackson play QB, RB and WR?

More Key Week 2 NFL Injuries: Patriots LB Jerod Mayo will miss this week’s game. Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu will miss 3-6 weeks with a knee injury. Carolina is REALLY banged up on D. – 9/19

Injuries: Eagles Quarterback Donovan McNabb broke his ribs in today’s blowout win vs. Carolina and is questionable for his next start. QB Kevin Kolb will take over the reigns if McNabb doesn’t recover fast enough for Week 2. Colts No.2 WR Anthony Gonzalez is out indefinitely with a twisted knee. The Chicago Bears suffered a huge blow as they have lost LB Brian Urlacher for the season with a dislocated wrist. – 9/13

Trade: The Oakland Raiders have acquired Richard Seymour from the New England Patriots in exchange for the Raiders 2011 first round draft pick. The pick is likely to be a top 10 pick based on the Raiders recent play. An odd move for a linebacker that is 30 years old and in the last year of his contract. – 9/7

Professional Sports Handicapper David A. Lane makes his 2009 NFC Predictions. – 9/4

Bad Luck: Bears 2nd string RB Kevin Jones suffered a torn ligament in his left ankle and is likely out for the year. Jones who is a fairly effective running back when healthy, has missed a ton of time in his career due to injuries. – 9/4

News and Notes: The Chiefs waived WR Amani Toomer after signing him only 3 weeks ago. The Lions have picked up QB’s Brooks Bollinger and Kevin O’Connell due to injuries to Daunte Culpepper and Drew Stanton. Rumor has it that the NYJ are looking to make a deal with Denver for WR Brandon Marshall. Bengals OT Andre Smith who had just signed with the team, is OUT with a fractured foot.
