Washington Mystics at LA Sparks
Prediction on the Total
The original plan was to take off for the remaining 4-5 games of the WNBA regular season, and bank the profit I have.
But, as the saying goes, “The best laid plans of mice and men sometimes go awry.”
Or, as I used to say of my drug infused crazy nights of playing in a rock and roll band and collecting groupies, “The best laid mice sometimes plan to go awry.”
But I digress.
Not too long ago I was struggling, down 5 units in my WNBA Battle with the Books. I was in danger of having a losing season.
Going into today’s play I’m 29-24.
That’s a 10-game swing to the positive side.
With only 4-5 games left, and the added uncertainty of factoring in which teams are playing to win and which have quit on the season (making handicapping even more difficult) my plan was to shut down the regular season.
But the plan has been waylaid due to numbers too strong to ignore.
My handicapping model T1 says tonight’s Wash/LA game stays Under the posted total.
T1’s record on Unders is 12-29.
That’s a rock solid 70% Fade.
I always say you shouldn’t jump on an already established trend/streak, but if you’ve been riding it and making bank keep doing so until the play starts to lose. And this T1 Under spot is a big reason I was able to turn my season around. I’ve been making bank on it on a regular basis.
And so tonight, “Once more unto the breach!”
Because when I turn to team specific numbers the play gets even stronger.
Washington has been in the T1 Under spot nine times.
Seven of the nine have gone Over.
LA has been in the T1 Under spot three times.
All three have gone Over.
That’s a combined 10-2 to the Over.
Want more?
Washington played last night.
Washington plays tonight.
You KNOW what that means.
Game Two of B2B’s is 13-2 to the Over.
T1 Under, team specific, and B2B numbers all point to the Over on this one.
No way I can lay off it.
This one opened at 166′ and has moved up to 167′.
No matter.
As always, I do what the numbers tell me to do.
And my numbers say take this one Over.
Looking at recent play, four of Washington’s last five games have gone Over tonight’s number.
The numbers on LA’s side don’t look as good.
Only one of their last five has gone Over tonight’s number.
But there’s this – LA last played on August 24th.
With three or more days rest this season LA is 4-0 Ov/Un.
Well rested and at home should turn into a decent effort from the Sparks tonight.
These two met once previously this season and the game landed on 179.
Looking for similar results tonight.
My play:
Wash/LA Ov 167′
Recap: 1-0
Record: 29-24
