Janelle Salaun Golden State Valkyries

Golden State Valkyries at Chicago Sky

WNBA Prediction

The Gm 2 of B2B spot continues to pay off for bettors who back the Over.
I used it here Wednesday night on the Atl/Dal game. The number was 166′, it landed on 173.

Overall, it’s now at 13-6, 68%.
Even better, when it’s a Rd team, the record is now 8-1 to the Over.
And I have another one tonight.

As always, I have to mention that jumping on an established streak is not a way to win at sports betting. But if you’ve already banked a few units on it with me, then keep riding that horse until it bucks ya!

The Valkyries played last night at Washington and tonight they’re in Chicago.
That puts them in the 13-6-spot overall and 8-1 in the subcategory when it’s a Rd game.

Let’s look at the standard stats and see what direction they point us in, Over or Under.

GS is 9-17 Ov/Un.
No help there, in fact, the numbers are ugly for someone looking to buy the Over.
On the road, they’re 5-9, no help there either.

Chi is 15-10-1 overall, 60 percent. That helps.
At Hm, they’re 7-5, a little help there, too.

H2H (Head to Head), these two met once this season, at GS. The Valkyries won 83-78, making the combined score 161.
It was an Over, and 4′ points more than I need tonight.

Recent play shows only two of the Valkyries’ last five games going Over tonight’s number, one game missing by 1.
The Sky have gone Over this number in three of their last five, also with one game missing by 1′.
Neither of those stats supports buying the Over tonight, but I’ll leave off with one more stat from my own charts.
When teams are playing in Gm 2 of B2B’s and Gm 1 was an Under, Gm 2 has the record of 8-3, 72% on the Over.

When to Buy Recommendation:
The line opened at 157′.
It was down to 156′ as I started writing this and right now 153′ is the common number, easily found at most books.
Why the drop?
It was just announced that Angel Reese is out again for Chicago. As word of this continues to spread, there’s a good chance the number will drop even further.
And with good reason. I looked at three games Chicago played without Reese this season. They not only lost all three, but they also put up an embarrassing 49 points in one of the games.
Only one of the three went Over tonight’s total.
As long as the number is dropping, no sense buying it now, maybe it’ll get to 153/152.
Worst case, you can get 153′.
But don’t wait too long, there’s a good chance of a buyback later in the afternoon.

My play:

GS/Chi Ov (wait to buy)

Only in the WNBA
Last night’s “Only in the WNBA” moment came in the GS/Dal game.
The Valkyries are up by one point over the Mystics. They get an offensive rebound with just 4.8 seconds left on the game clock.
All they have to do is hold on to the ball, get fouled, and get free throws.
But instead, for some reason, Salaun decides it’s a good time to toss a bounce pass to – Washington’s Shakira Austin.
The bonehead move gifts the Mystics with a chance to win the game. Fortunately for the Valkyries, and especially Salaun, Sykes missed the final shot. Game over.

Recap: 1-1
Record: 22-22
Review: Hit with the Over in ATL/Dal. It should have been a 1-0-1 night instead of 1-1.
Here’s why, from my last article. Spot the error:

Yes, the number is a little high, but the opening -8 is now down to -7.

My play:

Min -7′

I bought it at -7, the number from the end of the article.
But Under “My Play” I wrote -7′ by mistake.
So a loss goes on my record, because someone may have played it at 7′.
And because my integrity means more to me than a win or loss on a record.
