Watching both teams play, checking their stats and measuring their potential, Ive come to the conclusion Baylor versus UB Friday night is a T-shirt; please bear with me! Around the time of Depeche Mode, Jim McMahon and 40 cent gas, a goofy Hillbilly T-shirt came out depicting a screaming eagle with huge talons extended swooping down on mouse caught in the open. The beginning and end was perfectly clear to both parties and as the mouse is staring down his fate, standing firm, ready to be obliterated, extending his middle finger to the predator as a final word. In this game, Baylor is the eagle and what is left for us as a viewing treat is whether Buffalo has a middle finger!

Baylor could have pasted a Hungee on SMU and perhaps a hunge-twenty on Northwestern State. Against SMU, Baylor was up 24-0 in the 1st Quarter and called off the dogs (perhaps in deference to June Jones?!). Baylor piled up 31 first downs and almost 600 yards of offense boxing-in SMU like a death row in-mate! SMU ended the game (against Baylors Band) with -24 yards rushing. Against Northwestern State, Baylor popped 28 and 21 points on the Demons (???) in the first 2 quarters before sending their entire depth chart on Operation Shutdown! Taking a page out of Mother Teresas Diary, Baylor eased off Northwestern State coasting to a 70-6 victory. 32 first downs, over 700 yards of offense while losing the time of possession stat again (SMU also held the ball more than Baylor) proves one thing; Baylor strikes fast and often!

Buffalo has given up 67 points in two games against Duquesne and Army. Duquesne plays Bryant College and Sacred Heart in league play!!! UBs opponent last week >>> ArmyGod Bless Emwas decent in the 1940s with Mr. Inside, Mr. Outside or whatever that guys name was but hasnt beaten a decent team since the Truman Administration! Buffaloin honor of Friday Nights Game—is having a Black Out which to me means: Buffalo isnt allowing any recruit they have to attend or watch this game on TV! SUNY Buffalo Campus, or The State University of New York-Buffalo, or the University of Buffalo, or UB or whatever the crap the Regents are trying to redefine this former Mental Institution (YES! It was a former Mental Institution!) as, one thing will not change; put a bad product (whatever the name!!!) on the field against a superior product and no one cares what the crap the name of the package appears to be. After this game against Baylor, the Regents may want to re-invent UB as the University of Many Tears or The University of Beatdowns!!

Historically, Baylor is 17-4 ATS in their last 21 and 17-2 SU in their last 19. Surprisingly, Baylor is only 5-10 ATS in their last 15 Road games but Baylor is 4-1 SU in their last 5 Road games. A point worth noting: One year ago, Buffalo visited WACO and got demolished 70-13. Baylor covered as a 28 point favorite. Buffalo, meanwhile, is 8-1 SU in their last 9 Home games, 9-4 SU in their last 13 overall, nut only 2-4 SU in their last 6. Buffalo is 4-2 ATS in their last 6 games at home but only 1-5 ATS overall in their last 6. Buffalo has no major injuries reported for this game but a triage is being planned for the Bulls locker room area this Friday! Notably, Buffalo played Army last week as a 3 point road dog and could not cover.

This game is a mismatch but that isnt our task. Our task is to measure whether Baylor or Buffalo will cover the 32 point spread. Baylor brings with them the 2013 in Senior QB Bryce Petty. Having Petty is huge! In a straight up Pick em Baylor is probably offered at -1000. Covering 32 points? Most believe Baylor wont cover on the road. I say Baylor covers the 32 before halftime. We havent even seen how many points a 1st string, play the whole game, lock and loaded Baylor team can produce?! I say a repeat of 70-13 sounds about right. Buffalo isnt as decent as they were one year ago. Baylor and dont let the women and children watch!

Tims Pick to Cover the Point Spread: Baylor -32
