Someone, anyone, in or around College Station needs to chip in for an extra
bus bringing the defense to their games. Holy Lord! Aunt Bee could put up
a better defense than the Texas A&M Aggies. Missouri plays
Brooke Astor serving forearms and hand-chucks to the visiting Aggie faithful.
Missouri is on an absolute tear thru the SEC and except for the Ole Ball
Coach (very goofy of Spurrier), no team has put up much of a fight against
the Missouri Tigers at the Zou! Lets take a look at this matchup and pick a winner!

Johnny Manziel has been, pretty much, brilliant for the Aggies in 2013. 356 passing attempts, 246 completions, 32 TDs, 3,537 passing yardsand hes rushed for 655 yards scoring 8 more TDs on the ground! Bold statement comingif Manziel isnt the Heisman Trophy winner again, the Heisman should be considered a relic of the past! Thats almost 4,200 yards of offense and 40 TDs from 1 human being! I dont care if he did get schemed for against LSU laying an egg last week. Love him, hate him, or however you wish to categorize Manziel, if Texas A&M had just an average defense, the Aggies would have not lost a single game with Johnny Put it in the car Manziel at the wheel. Mizzou? Yep, Mizzou plays football too! Mizzou plays football real good. Lets check the Tigers out.

Up for grabs in this contest is the SECs East Division Title. A Missouri victory assures the Tigers of a date with the Iron Bowl winner; Alabama or Auburn. And Missouri is getting hot in a hurry! Back from an injury in the Georgia game, Sr. Captain and starting QB James Franklin led the Tigers last weekend in a win against Ole Miss. Franklin was pampered a little with the play calling by the coaching staff but still engineered to TD scoring drives of 85 and 72 yards along with field goal drives of 68 and 75 yards. But Franklin only was 12 of 19 for 142 yards and a pick while running 8 times for 42 yards suggesting Franklin is not quite 100% since he was dinged against Georgia. Ole Miss had more than a few chances in the Red Zone but could not converting resulting inyou guessed ita 24-10 home loss.

Mizzou is 14th in passing yards, 41st in rushing yards, and tied for 37th in Red Zone efficiency. Texas A&M is 6th in points for, 6th in passing yards, 45th in rushing yards, 5th in team passing efficiency, but only 80th in Red Zone offense. Perhaps the reason for the poor showing in Red Zone offense is simply because the Aggies only pass thru the Red Zone on their way to the end-zone; never actually residing within the Red Zone to start a Red Zone scoring march? The problem with A&M is the defense. The Aggies are 89th in points given up, 83rd in passing yards allowed, and 107th in rushing yards allowed. The Aggies absolutely stink on defense suggesting The next time someone on the Aggie defense hits an opponent will be the first time an Aggie hits an opponent.

Texas A&M is 5-6 ATS spread because they cant keep even the weakest teams off the scoreboard. Manziel will lead the offense scoring 100, but the little Aggie D gives up 99 against Nickleback University! The Aggies are 2-1 on the year ATS on the road, 2-5 ATS in conference play, 1-2 ATS in their last three, 1-1 ATS when theyre an underdog, and 2-3 ATS when playing a team with a +.500 record. The Missouri Tigers, on the other hand, are 4-2 ATS at home, 6-2 ATS in their last 8 when favored, 6-1 ATS in conference play, and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 when their opponent has a +.500 record.

This game is going to be tighter than Sansabelts on an aging Orson Wells. A Real Nutcracker in the words of my hero and former whack-job Mel Brooks! Mizzou and Texas A&M, will boil down to the Aggie defense stepping up and making onejust onesingle play! And, Oh Yes, A&M has the Closer Manziel and in ANY tight game, Ill take Manziel over ANY player (except Mike Vick during the VaTech years) that has EVER put his toes between the hash marks! Manziel pulls out a miracle play, after play, after playand the Aggies will cover.

Tims Pick to Cover the Point Spread: Texas A&M Aggies +4.5
