Thursday Pro Hoops: We’re passing today. Short cards usually mean tight lines. We eyeballed the Celtics/Magic game a bit (we were thinking under) but with it being a HUGE revenge angle (Boston just SMOKED Orlando recently), multiple injuries for Boston etc. there’s just too many unstable variables. We’ve decided to pass. Power ratings say that Boston is good value but they don’t take into consideration that the Celts are missing their back court (Ray Allen/Rajon Rondo are both OUT) Sometimes passing is your best play. There’s never a need to force a bet, as there’s “always another game” upcoming. With that being said, check out our college basketball picks section as we’ve got a 3 unit best bet that we’re expecting to win easily. Good luck Fellas! – 1/26
Wednesday’s Recap: Our Warriors (-3.5) pick won easily, with G.S. winning by 8 and covering with an extra 4.5 to spare. We handicap the NBA completely different than most sports and are kicking ourselves for not making this a best bet play (yeah, hindsight is always 20/20 lol) because a few key paramters were in play here with their opponent playing their 3rd game in 3 nights, the public one siding the Blazers, it being a road game and the line going up from -3 to -3.5 despite the books not getting much action on Golden State. I gotta be honest, this play wasn’t on our radar until we saw the odd line move. That just goes to show that one should leave no stone unturned when hunting for value!
