5dimes Sportsbook Releases Odds Of All 32 Teams To Make NFL Playoffs

Last updated Sep 2, 2018 | Sportsbook News

Odds have just been posted by 5dimes for each of the NFL teams on whether or not they will be playoff bound for the 2018 season. Below you will find our rundown on what you can expect for this years’ postseason possibilities.

Arizona Cardinals

Will make the playoffs +850 / Won’t make the playoffs -1750

Larry Fitzgerald and David Johnson can only do so much for a Cardinals offense that has major questions at the quarterback position and along the offensive line.

Will the Cardinals make the playoffs: NO

Cleveland Browns

Will make the playoffs +600 / Won’t make the playoffs -1200

The Browns have one win over their past two years, and while they should be better in 2018 they are still at least a season a way from being postseason ready.

Will the Browns make the playoffs: NO

New York Jets

Will make the playoffs +550 / Won’t make the playoffs -1050

The Jets have the worst grouping of offensive skill position players in the league, though at least the quarterback position got better with Teddy Bridgewater signed, Sam Darnold picked 3rd overall and worst draft choice in recent years Christian Hackenberg traded.

Will the Jets make the playoffs: NO

Miami Dolphins

Will make the playoffs +550 / Won’t make the playoffs -1050

How effective quarterback Ryan Tannehill can be after coming back from a left knee injury remains to be seen, especially considering since how good he was when fully healthy remains questionable as well.

Will the Dolphins make the playoffs: NO

Will make the playoffs +450 / Won’t make the playoffs -750

The Bears spent their offseason loading up the offense for second year quarterback Mitch Trubinsky, and how much of a jump he can make in year two will likely be the most determining factor on their 2018 success.

Will the Bears make the playoffs: NO

Buffalo Bills

Will make the playoffs +450 / Won’t make the playoffs -750

The Bills are forecast to be favored in only two games all season, not a good sign for a team that short of LeSean Mccoy is lacking in star power throughout it’s lackluster lineup.

Will the Bills make the playoffs: NO

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Will make the playoffs +420 / Won’t make the playoffs -650

Jameis Winston’s mere three game suspension for sexually assaulting an Uber driver is yet another reminder of how little the league and it’s pathetic commissioner care when it comes to violence against woman. And especially considering his college past just how much of a pile of garbage Winston is himself.

Will the Buccaneers make the playoffs: NO

Cincinnati Bengals

Will make the playoffs +390 / Won’t make the playoffs -590

Head Coach Marvin Lewis is 0-7 all time in the playoffs while Andy Dalton is 0-4 with a 1/6 TD-INT ratio in postseason games. Unfortunately neither will be able to get rid of the playoff failure albatross this season as their combustive lineup will likely be too much too overcome yet again for the Bengals.

Will the Bengals make the playoffs: NO

Washington Redskins

Will make the playoffs +375 / Won’t make the playoffs -565

5Dimes Sportsbook has Washington as big dogs and rightfully so. Rookie running back Derrius Guice brings a big positive presence to a Redskins backfield that is in desperate need of a step in the right direction, especially considering Alfred Morris is the only running back to gain over 705 rushing yards in a season over the past decade.

Will the Redskins make the playoffs: NO

New York Giants

Will make the playoffs +325 / Won’t make the playoffs -475

Head coach Ben McAdoo is mercifully gone from the Meadowlands sidelines, and while his benching of Eli Manning last season was clearly not the best of decisions, how effective the aged quarterback can be remains to be seen.

Will the Giants make the playoffs: NO

Indianapolis Colts

Will make the playoffs +300 / Won’t make the playoffs -420

After making the playoffs in 12 of 13 seasons between 2002-2014, this will be the fourth season in a row that the Colts miss out on the postseason. Incredible karma considering their downfall began soon after owner Jim Irsay;’s mistress mysteriously died of a drug overdose in a house he controversially purchased with team money.

Will the Colts make the playoffs: NO

Detroit Lions

Will make the playoffs +260 / Won’t make the playoffs -380

A brand new coaching staff and a complete lack of a running game will again put the weight of the teams’ hopes on the shoulders of quarterback Matthew Stafford, who as clutch as he is, will not be enough to overcome to the rest of the Lions’ faults.

Will the Lions make the playoffs: NO

Seattle Seahawks

Will make the playoffs +215 / Won’t make the playoffs -295

Seattle missed out on the playoffs last season for the just the second time since Pete Carroll arrived as his ability to rally the troops as in years past remains in question ever since their loss to New England in Super Bowl XLIX.

Will the Seahawks make the playoffs: NO

Will make the playoffs +140 / Won’t make the playoffs -180

The loss of both Dez Bryant and Jason Witten will be a major hurdle for quarterback Dax Prescott to get past in hopes of getting back to his 2016 version rather than last year’s regressed, less effective one.

Will the Cowboys make the playoffs: NO

Baltimore Ravens

Will make the playoffs +130 / Won’t make the playoffs -170

The offense upgraded the wide receiver position through free agency with Michael Crabtree, Willie Snead and John Brown, but the real question may be what has happened to the Ravens once proud defense, which hasn’t ranked in the top six in the league total D for the past six years in a row.

Will the Ravens make the playoffs: NO

Denver Broncos

Will make the playoffs +275 / Won’t make the playoffs -395

The AFC West remains the most wide open of divisional races, and with a strong defense and veteran leadership throughout, you can never count the Broncos fully out of the hunt.

Will the Broncos make the playoffs: MAYBE

Tennessee Titans

Will make the playoffs +160 / Won’t make the playoffs -210

Much like Dallas with Dax Prescott, the Titans success will be predicated on whether Marcus Mariotta returns to 2015/2016 form rather than his unfortunate 2017 one that saw him throw 15 interceptions compared to only 13 touchdowns.

Will the Titans make the playoffs: MAYBE

Oakland Raiders

Will make the playoffs +160 / Won’t make the playoffs -210

Oakland made plenty of noise in the offseason with the signing of Jordy Nelson and trading for Martavis Bryant, but their biggest move was on the sidelines when Jon Gruden agreed to re-become the Raiders head coach.

Will the Raiders make the playoffs: MAYBE

San Francisco 49ers

Will make the playoffs +130 / Won’t make the playoffs -170

49ers fans will be hoping quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo can rekindle the same magic that helped him lead the team to five straight wins a season ago after his trade from New England, and considering the additional time he will have had learning Kyle Shanahan’s system there is good reason to believe he can pull off the same sort of success.

Will the 49ers make the playoffs: MAYBE

Carolina Panthers

Will make the playoffs +125 / Won’t make the playoffs -165

The star power is there with Cam Newton leading the offense and Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis and Julius Peppers on the defense, but they will all need play at an elite level if the Panthers have a chance of competing for an NFC South crown against the Saints and Falcons.

Will the Panthers make the playoffs: MAYBE

Kansas City Chiefs

Will make the playoffs +115 / Won’t make the playoffs -155

There is excitement building around an offense including Kareem Hunt, Sammy Watkins, Tyreke Hill and Travis Kelce, but no matter what they still have Andy Reid as their coach so legit playoff success will always be just out of reach.

Will the Chiefs make the playoffs: MAYBE

Atlanta Falcons

Will make the playoffs +110 / Won’t make the playoffs -150

The biggest question for Atlanta will be whether or not Matt Ryan can get over his Super Bowl LI hangover and return to his pre-2017 form after disappointing last season.

Will the Falcons make the playoffs: MAYBE

Houston Texans

Will make the playoffs -140 / Won’t make the playoffs +100

The Texans benefit from the easiest schedule in the league, and with DeShaun Watson and JJ Watt both returning from injury it’s easy to see why many expect the resilient Houston squad to be playoff bound in 2018.

Will the Texans make the playoffs: MAYBE

Will make the playoffs -125 / Won’t make the playoffs -115

Despite being burdened by the second toughest slate of games in the NFL and being stuck in the hyper competitive NFC South, the offense trio of Brees/Kamara/Thomas should be enough to catapult the Saints to what would be back-to-back trips to the postseason after having missed out in the previous three seasons.

Will the Saints make the playoffs: YES

Jacksonville Jaguars

Will make the playoffs -145 / Won’t make the playoffs +105

The Jaguars were under three minutes away from reaching their first ever Super Bowl before falling to New England in the AFC Championship Game last season, and with all their major pieces back the odds from 5Dimes are certainly in their favor of being at least playoff bound again.

Will the Jaguars make the playoffs: YES

Los Angeles Chargers

Will make the playoffs -150 / Won’t make the playoffs +100

A lackluster schedule that expects to see the Chargers favored in at least ten games should open things up even more for an LA offense featuring Melvin Gordon and one of the league’s most consistent quarterbacks in Philip Rivers.

Will the Chargers make the playoffs: YES

Green Bay Packers

Will make the playoffs -170 / Won’t make the playoffs +130

Green Bay play the most difficult schedule in the league and that combined with being burdened by a head coach like Mike McCarthy may be too much for even Aaron Rodgers to overcome in his quest to win a second career Super Bowl title.

Will the Packers make the playoffs: YES

Los Angeles Rams

Will make the playoffs -175 / Won’t make the playoffs +135

The Rams were arguably the most active team in the offseason free agent market, and after making an already great defense better they should be in an even stronger position to compete for an NFC title with a well-rounded offense and special teams as well.

Will the Rams make the playoffs: YES

Minnesota Vikings

Will make the playoffs -260 / Won’t make the playoffs +180

The signing of Kirk Cousins, return of running back Dalvin Cook from injury and a dominant defense could all add up to the Vikings best chance at winning their first ever NFL Championship after having won only in the AFL before the league merger.

Will the Vikings make the playoffs: ABSOLUTELY

Philadelphia Eagles

Will make the playoffs -270 / Won’t make the playoffs +190

The return of Carson Wentz to an already stacked lineup has the Eagles set up well as the reigning Super Bowl champions and odds on favorite to win their conference again.

Will the Eagles make the playoffs: ABSOLUTELY

Pittsburgh Steelers

Will make the playoffs -585 / Won’t make the playoffs +385

The weapons are undoubtedly in vast supply for a Steelers offense that includes Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown, but how far Pittsburgh can go will always be in question thanks to an overrated head coach with little to no control over his locker room.

Will the Steelers make the playoffs: ABSOLUTELY

Will make the playoffs -1700 / Won’t make the playoffs +800

New England has made the conference championship game seven years in a row, plays in the same division as the lowly Jets, Dolphins and Bills and still has Tom Brady for a quarterback and Bill Belichick as their head coach.

Will the Patriots make the playoffs: ABSOLUTELY
