Las Vegas Sportsbooks

While we don’t claim to be experts on Las Vegas Sportsbooks we can say that we’ve frequented many of them and surely have our preferences. With that being said, some of the things we take into consideration before recommending that you check them out include: free drinks or free drink tickets, lots of seating, comfortable seating, numerous screens including big screens, both sports and horse betting and more.

Our favorite place to bet on sports in Las Vegas is the Hilton Superbook. Managed by class act Jay Kornegay, this place simply has it all including 11 big screens in the book. Ooodles of seating, free drinks, lots of big screens and friendly customer service/waitresses. If your a highroller or a good schmoozer you may be able to get into their highroller room as well, which I believe was called the hall of fame room. What a great place to watch games. Leather recliners, couches and a wall of televisions.

Highly recommended. Oh, and on Sunday NFL gamedays, they put out some good cheap grub too. Not to mention there’s a sandwich shop within a few feet (FAT SAMICHES!) and on the other side is their tasty buffet which is very reasonably priced.

Runner up was the Wynn. As you can imagine, very plush. Free complimentary drinks to those that are betting. The book holds around 195 people including the 2 lounges. They boast a whopping 37 plasma televisions as well including a 144 square foot big screen. The Wynn is also proud to be a non line cloning book as their sportsbook manager is responsible for the lines they post.

Sadly enough, we’d like to print here that the Stardust would have come in third but it was recently torn down. Lots of old timers hung out here and when you sat in this room you felt like you were in old town Vegas. Lots of old grumpy cigar chomping degenerates puffing away, hooting and hollering really gave this place a feel of being in Vegas. R.I.P. ‘Dust, you will be missed.

Another “gotta try” is the Bellagio. Oh man, you can’t go wrong here. Great drinks including premium beers and their mixed drinks are great too. Served by professionals, you can actually get your choice of booze in the mixed drink! Lotsa tv’s and the most comfortable chairs to watch a game in to boot! There are 47 tv’s in the book at last count with 4 of those being big screens.

Honorable Mention: Caesar’s Palace. Despite having 250
seats, you still have to get there early on NFL sunday to get a good seat.
This isn’t the best book on the strip anymore but surely something you have
to do before you call it a life.
