Raptors vs Clippers Picks: Monday Night NBA Best Bet

Toronto Raptors at LA Clippers
Monday, November 2, 2026
10:00 PM ET, Intuit Dome

Toronto is a 5.5-point road favorite in Inglewood, and the total sits at 220.5. My play is Raptors -5.5 (-110).

This was supposed to be the Kawhi Leonard homecoming game. The Clippers sent Leonard to Toronto this offseason, and Brandon Ingram came back the other way in the deal. Neither one will play tonight. Leonard (knee) misses his fifth straight game, and Ingram is still recovering from heel surgery and a partially torn Achilles. Take away the reunion and you’re left with a simpler matchup: a defense built to steal the ball against an offense that keeps giving it away.

Toronto takes your lunch money. The Raptors force turnovers on 18.9% of opponent possessions, the best rate in the NBA, and they rank fifth in defensive rating. They also take care of the ball, with the third-lowest turnover rate in the league, and they rank second in offensive rebounding. That means more shots for Toronto and fewer for the other guys, night after night.

The Clippers can’t stop handing it over. L.A. owns the worst turnover rate in the league at 18.4%, and Darius Garland came into Sunday leading the NBA at 5.6 giveaways per game, per The Sporting Tribune. Kris Dunn summed it up after the second loss to the Lakers: “we are causing turnovers, but we are just giving it back.” That was two losses ago. The Clippers have now dropped five straight, most recently 124-112 at Golden State on Sunday against a Warriors team that rested Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

The injury list is a wall. Besides Ingram, the Clippers are without Bradley Beal (knee), Max Strus (foot) and Yanic Konan Niederhauser (foot surgery). That leaves Garland, Rui Hachimura and rookie Keaton Wagler, who is shooting 28% from the field, to create almost all the offense. The result ranks 25th in offensive rating. Toronto has played without its biggest star too, but it still has Scottie Barnes (24.8 points a game) and RJ Barrett (19.8) running the show. Barnes dropped 29 and Barrett had 22 with 10 boards in Sunday’s loss to the Lakers.

Both teams are tired, but not equally. Both are on the second night of a back-to-back. The Raptors lost 131-125 to the Lakers on Sunday and only had to cross town. The Clippers finished a late game in San Francisco and flew home afterward. It’s a small edge, but it counts.

Where this goes sideways. Toronto is 1-3 since Leonard went down, and its shooting can go cold fast. The Raptors rank 22nd in effective field goal percentage and made just 31% of their threes on Sunday. Jakob Poeltl (shoulder) is day-to-day after missing last night, and losing him again would thin out their rebounding. The Clippers’ defense also forces plenty of turnovers itself. If Garland plays a clean game, a six-point spread is plenty for a home team looking to snap a skid.

Projected score: Raptors 115, Clippers 106

Some shops are hanging -4.5, and that’s the number to grab if you see it. I’d play this up to -6.
