2007 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Betting Analysis
Wagering Key: Win-Place-Show, Exacta, Trifecta, Superfecta, Pick 3

Likely favorite WAR PASS looked superb winning the Champagne-G1 but we have to think he’ll get company up front this time. Could he still win this? No question. Trainer Nick Zito is only 1-for-10 in Grade 1 stakes with 2-year-olds in the last five years but this is the lone winner. Looks like a natural talent.

WAR PASS will likely get some pressure from WICKED STYLE, who showed excellent natural speed to make the lead from Post 12 in the Breeders’ Futurity-G1 over the Polytrack at Keeneland and then drew away from the field in the stretch – against the bias. Impressive to say the least – we like him at a great price.

DIXIE CHATTER ran a big race to win the Norfolk-G1 from off the pace although he did get through on the inside in late turn while SALUTE THE SARGE went 4-wide to end up second. But DIXIE CHATTER was never going to get beat in the drive and he looks like he could improve. His trainer Richard Mandella has won both the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and the Juvenile Fillies before, he’s 3-for-5 with 2-year-olds in Grade 1 Stakes over the last five years and he’s 6-for-17 with 2-year-olds who won their last start. AND, he’s been putting some nice seven furlong works in this horse. Lots to like here at a nice price.

PYRO finished well to take second in the Champagne and cracked the 100 Beyer mark. He’s the only other horse in here besides WAR PASS to record a triple digit Beyer figure and would benefit from a pace battle. He also looks like he could improve. Likely second choice TALE OF EKATI had something left when winning the Futurity-G2 at Belmont despite breaking slowly and he has since come back with a mile work at Monmouth to add some stamina. He dug in with some heartfull style along the rail late in the Futurity and looks like he might like to battle late – could improve again.
