I actually feel kind of sorry for Royals starter Alec Marsh. Talk about being thrown into the fire! The 25-year-old right-handed will be making his first start against the L.A. Dodgers, a day after they put up a 14-spot on the Rockies.

Marsh had a great K-rate in the minors, but got way too much of the plate, as evidenced by his 8-23 career record and 5.72 ERA. In a perfect world, that equates to about a 9.00 ERA in the bigs. I fully expect him to have butterflies and struggle Friday night in the land of BBQ ribs.

Bobby Miller started the season off red-hot, allowing only two earned runs in 23 innings. He’s gotten bombed in his last couple starts, but is up against a light hitting KC team who has only hit .200 as a team over the last six games. With a .269 on base average, it’ll be a tough for go for KC against a Dodgers team that has won six of their last eight games and seen Mookie Betts and JD Martinez come to life in the past couple days.

Laying -215 on the road is too hefty of a price to pay, even for the Dodgers, so I’ll be betting the runline at -1.5 -135.
