Twins pitcher Chris Archer could throw a shutout Thursday and the Twins might still lose! Their bats have gone ice-cold. They’re on a five- game skid and haven’t scored more than three runs in their last six games. On the other side of the field, Astros starter Luis Garcia looks to be tiring, as the 244-pound pitcher hasn’t looked good in any of his last five starts. Most baseball bettors will jump ship when they see the name Kutter Crawford on the betting line Thursday. Keep in mind he’s young and his two blowups both came on the road. Triston McKenzie has looked really good this season! He’s even better in day games, with a 1.94 ERA in 74 innings! Opponents are only hitting .161 against him in daylight. The Angels and Rays kick off an abbreviated MLB slate Thursday at 1PM with a nice pitcher’s duel between Patrick Sandoval and Drew Rasmussen. The Halos lefty has only allowed two earned runs in his last 19.1 innings and Rasmussen only four earned runs in his last 23 frames. Runs could be at a premium at Tropicana Field today! Brewers pitcher Adrian Houser comes off the DL just in time to get crushed by the red-hot Los Angeles Dodgers Wednesday! He’ll face-off with one of the best left-handed pitchers in baseball that nobody really knows about in Andrew Heaney. The crafty lefty would be a household name if he could of stayed healthy during his career, but it just hasn’t happened. Pirates pitcher Mitch Keller had a nifty 2.61 ERA in July, but has been beat up over his last two starts in which he’s allowed eight earned runs in 7.1 innings with a WHIP over almost two over that span. The Bucs are going nowhere fast at 2-10 over their last twelve games. They’ve only been able to muster up two runs over the first two games of the series. Rangers starter Martin Perez has had a great season, but may be in for big trouble Wednesday afternoon at Coors Field where he holds a 6.82 ERA and 1.55 WHIP in limited action. Conversely, Jose Urena has looked pretty good at times this season and makes for a formidable opponent. Nationals pitcher Erick Fedde has been putrid on the road lately. If you throw out a good outing he had against Baltimore on 6/21, his last four starts away from home have yielded a massive 21 earned runs over only 13.2 innings. Yes, he had shoulder inflammation and has missed almost a month, but that doesn’t explain his 5.45 road ERA in 2021 either. Fedde will be opposed by lefty ace Robbie Ray, who has had some hard luck starts as of late. Ray has a 2.33 ERA this month but only one win to show for it. Get our Wash/Sea betting prediction here!
