is likely to miss the season after an MRI exam on Sunday revealed a torn

Preseason News: Trailblazers Head Coach Nate McMillan has publicly expressed that he’d like to see Martell Webster win the starting job at small forward so that the team will have some offense and perimeter shooting to go along with LaMarcus Aldrige and Brandon Roy. – 10/16

to have a routine surgery done and it was found that he has articular cartilage
damage in his right knee. This new finding will put him out for 6-12 months
with the word being that he is likely OUT for the upcoming NBA season. –

Yi Jianlian has FINALLY signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. This is
great news for the NBA. In other NBA news today Ruben Patterson
has signed with the Los Angeles Clippers. We hope this isn’t their answer
for losing Elton Brand to injury or their in trouble! – 8/29

ESPN is reporting that the Jermaine O’Neal to Los Angeles
deal is dead. The Lakers have the option as the Pacers would be happy taking
Forward Lamar Odom and Center Andrew Bynum in exchange
for the all-star forward but L.A. says no thanks. – 8/28

The Boston Celtics have signed F James Posey to a 2 year
contract. This is a great move for Boston bringing in an unselfish role
playing swingman to the mix. The Celts appear serious about making a run
at the 2008 NBA Finals. – 8/26

Reggie Miller has officially ended his comeback attempt. He stated that he is done for good. – 8/24

Harrah’s Entertainment has announced that their going to build a 20,000 seat stadium with hopes of luring an NBA and NHL franchise to Sin City. Construction is scheduled to start in 2008. – 8/23

are still very seriouis about coming back to the NBA. Oakley
was even quoted as saying that the NBA lacks guys who “really know how to
play” and boasted that he could make any teams 12 man roster depsite his

Kevin Durant was cut today from Team USA. He
was one of the last cuts to be made. The coaching staff cited needing more
outside shooting as the reason for the cut. We’re pretty confident that
he’ll have more opportunities down the road though. – 8/21

R.I.P: Eddie Griffin has died at the young age of 25. The troubled NBA player was said to have driven through a railroad crossing and into a moving train. His body was so badly mangled that it took investigators days to positively I.D. the body as that of Griffin’s. – 8/21

Timberwolves backup Mark Madsen will miss approx. 3 months
with a shoulder injury. – 8/20

The Detroit Pistons have signed swingman G/F Jarvis Hayes.
Between injuries and the coaching staff, Hayes never really got a chance
to shine in Washington. He’ll make a great role player on the Pistons squad.
In other news, the Spurs just keep getting better. Today they signed Ime
Udoka
, who the Trailblazers failed to lock up. The Spurs management should
be deemed geniuses for this signing as Ime is one hell of a role player
who makes an already good team even better. – 8/16

Reggie Miller claims that he’ll decide the fate of his comeback around mid September. Sources close to Reggie say he wants a championship bad and loves the Celtics chances of bringing it home. – 8/16

Is he serious? Retired NBA star Reggie Miller is contemplating
a comeback with the Boston Celtics? According to unnamed sources Miller
would be coming back knowing he’d be an “off the bench” guy. They must really
be getting serious about winning a championship in Beantown! – 8/8

Matt Barnes re-signs with the Golden State Warriors. This is huge news for G.S. fans as this guy really came into his own during the 2007 NBA playoffs with his slashing style of play and knocking down 3 point bombs. Look for him to have a huge upcoming season with ball hog Jason Richardson gone. – 8/7

News out of Washington is that the Wiz are going to trade point guard Juan Carlos Navarro to Memphis. This is good news for Grizz fans as this will likely keep big Pau there for years to come as their best friends. – 8/4

Sad and tragic news out of Los Angeles: Elton Brand Injury will likely keep him out of action for at least six months and likely the whole 2007/08 NBA season (ruptured left Achilles’ tendon.) – 8/3

Opening night 2007 features Greg Oden going up against the Spurs Tim Duncan. While the rook is likely to be schooled, it should provide for some great entertainment seeing the old welcome the new. – 8/2

It’s official! The Boston Celtics have given away the farm in exchange for F Kevin Garnett. The official terms of the deal? The Celts land Kevin Garnett from Minnesota in exchange for F Ryan Gomes, G Gerald Green, F Al Jefferson, C Theo Ratliff, PG Sebastian Telfair, a 2009 first round draft pick (top three protected), a return of Minnesota’s conditional first round draft pick previously obtained in the Ricky Davis-Wally Szczerbiak and cash considerations.

Fox Sports is reporting that Kevin Garnett may be headed to Boston after all. The latest rumor has KG going to the Celts for Al Jefferson, Rajon Rondo and Theo Ratliff. This would give Boston a trio of three of the most unselfish big-time scorers in NBA history and bring formidability back to Celtic nation. – 7/29

43 year old bruising forward Charles Oakley has stated that he’s in tip-top shape and considering coming out of retirement after a 3 year absence from the NBA. He was also sure to note that if he does come back, he won’t be cheap. Out of loot Charles? – 7/29

Sad News: Knicks center Eddy Curry was reported as being robbed at his house Saturday. Word is he and his family were tied up as the robbers did their thing and left. – 7/29

Despite rumors that a Michigan based group is looking to purchase the Portland Trailblazers, Blazers owner Paul Allen and his group have stated that the team is “not for sale.” – 7/28

The Miami Heat have signed former Lakers guard Smush Parker to a two year deal. – 7/27

One “Ray” comes while one goes: The Boston Celtics made a draft day trade that brought sharp shooting guard Ray Allen to the team. Today, Allan Ray leaves the Celts and is headed for Serie A team Lottomatica Roma after they offered him 3x what he was due to make in the NBA. – 7/27

Mo Williams officially re-signs with the Bucks. Reports are the deal was for 6 years and over 50 million dollars. Rumors out of Detroit are that the PIstons are not interested in signing Chris Webber. – 7/24

NBA Rumors: Have Grant Hill going to Phoenix. What a nice fit there eh? Suns swingman James Jones is likely headed to Portland in a deal that should be announced shortly. Former NBA sharp shooter Allan Houston is said to be making a comeback. Many teams are interested in the smoothe shooting dead-eye shooter. – 6/30

The Charlotte Bobcats have waived 10 year NBA veteran Brevin Knight. – 6/30

Vince Carter has opted out of his contract making him an unrestricted free agent. The Nets have plans on trying to resign Carter. Many believe Carter is hoping that the Orlando Magic will make a play on him. – 6/30

More draft rumors: The Dallas Mavericks are said to be interested in trading PG Devin Harris to the Milwaukee Bucks for the 5th pick in which they’d likely go after Mike Conley or Yi Jianlian. – 6/27

Celtics standing pat: Danny Ainge was quoted as saying that Boston will keep the 5th pick and be happy drafting Jeff Green, Yi Jianlian or Corey Brewer.

Today’s Garnett Rumor: Has Kevin going to the Suns. The Suns would then send Amare Stoudemire to the Hawks and Minnesota would receive the number 3 and 11 pick in this year’s NBA draft as well as C Zaza Pachulia and G Anthony Johnson.

Rumors: The Bucks may be shopping their number 6 pick in Thursday’s NBA draft as Yi Jianlian and Joakim Noah have snubbed their noses at the Bucks and refused to workout for them. Online sources have been quoted as saying that the Portland Trailblazers may be offering PG Jarret Jack and C Joel Przybilla for the number 6 and C Dan Gadzuric. With the #6 pick, the Blazers are said to be interested in Ohio State product Mike Conley.

Bobcats F Gerald Wallace has opted out of his contract making him a free agent as of July 1st. – 6/25

According to ESPN, the Los Angeles Lakers are in potential trade talks for Kevin Garnett. – 6/25

Detroit Pistons point guard Chauncey Billups has opted out of his contract making him an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. – 6/25

NBA Draft Talk: Greg Oden was said to have not had the best workout in Portland but it may not matter. Kevin Durant also worked out and looked stellar. He was quoted as saying “I feel like I belong here” as well. It’s yet to be seen whether Blazers G.M. Kevin Pritchard will do the wise thing and take the big man or go with the mega talented Durant. Either pick will have a huge positive impact on the franchise nonetheless. Other notes of interest include the Phoenix Suns who have been making noise about moving up in the draft so they can have a shot at drafting Noah. – 6/23

Kevin Garnett says “NO” to the potential of him going to Boston. He stated that his only interest other than staying with the Timberwolves is to go to the Phoenix Suns to play with Steve Nash. – 6/21

As many had predicted, the San Antonio Spurs sweet the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the 2007 NBA Championship. The Cavs simply had no answer for a more experienced Spurs team. – 6/14
