According to recent reports Chelsea are ready to offer 52.5 to AC Milan for the services of young Brazilian striker Pato. However, it may be only for one season, as Pato would be a buy and loan move, as he would head back to Milan in 2010. Pato would be reunited with his old AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea has long been associated with Pato and they almost signed him when he was coming from Brazil. Pato is a teenage striker that is loaded with talent and AC Milan has turned down all offers for him, but this deal may be too good to be true since they will be getting a ton of money and will get him back next season.

It has been reported that Chelsea are willing to pay 52.5m for Pato outright and then immediately send him back to the Italian giants after the 2009 Premier League season.

AC Milan is worried about selling another one of their stars after they sold Kaka a couple of months ago. However, with the thought of getting him back after only one season Milan may pull the trigger on the Pato deal. AC Milan does not have many strikers and even though there is a lot of money it does not seem to make sense to lose another one.

A source from the News of the World paper stated, “The boy would come to Chelsea right now but Milan have just sold Kaka and do not want to lose another top star. That’s why this deal could make all the difference. Milan get their money up front and keep his services for one more season and have plenty of time to scout a replacement. Chelsea are hoping it is the perfect deal both for them and for Milan.

Neither AC Milan nor Chelsea has commented in the press about this recent deal.
