The Poker Pro Canadian Classic

Poker Pro Media, publishers of Poker Pro Magazine and Online Poker Pro Magazine, are celebrating the launch of their newest title, Poker Pro Canada, with a poker tournament called the Poker Pro Canadian Classic. The tournament will take place between April 15-18, 2010 at the Four Aces poker club in Montreal. The tournament is a $1,500 + $150 buy-in and is of the deep-stack, No Limit Holdem variety.

This is the first new poker publication that has been launched in years, and we want to kick off Poker Pro Canada with a bang, and this big event is one way we are doing that, said Poker Pros Editor-in-Chief John Johnny Quads Wenzel.

The tournament will feature three Day Ones, and players eliminated in the early days can sign-up again for another Day 1. For example, if you bust on Day 1a, you can register again for Day 1b, and if you bust there you could try again on Day 1c (of course you must pay the buy-in each time). The survivors of all three Day 1s will battle for the championship on Sunday, April 18.

Organizers are expecting at least 300 players and a half-million dollar prize pool and are offering online satellites on Bovada Poker and 888.com. For more information you can visit www.pokerpromagazine.com or call 450-638-Poker or 877-77-4ACES to pre-register. Montreal also offers a great night life while the Four Aces poker club spreads a variety of games in their luxurious poker room. On a final note, Johnny Quads adds, I will be competing in this event, so you know there will be some dead money there. Come and get it.
