RBC Heritage Tournament Analysis

The PGA Tour fellas turn a tick north from Augusta this week for the 2014 RBC Heritage played on the Harbor Town Golf Links golf course. Last week, The Masters produced another Bubba Watson victory and most viewers went gaga over the Small Town boys big-time victory. Hard to knock Watson; he stands firm in his own abilities and firmer in his own beliefs. It surely is tough coming down the Back 9 at Augusta and not tripping all over ones self. Watson, though clearly human and prone to error, always seems like he just drank his orange juice and was now ready for a dip in the pool; as others are still squeezing oranges! Watson is different. Maybe the stuff of Watsons triumph over impossibility doesnt reside in his abilities. Rather, watching and listening to Watson, Im sold that triumph—true winning—is found solely in the The Purpose of ones existence. In a golfing world filled to the neck with Sports Psychologists, Swing PHDs, and the newest gimmicks from the best inventive minds, perhaps the peace of knowing why we are who we are is the first step to understanding the basic fundamental in any endeavor (tournament golf, business, marriage etc.)the basic fundamental being—Understanding the task and clear thinking? Im certainly not going to knock Watsonhe looks calmer than a quiet sea under a red-orange sunset. Truth isand that says it all (Truth Is). Hilton Head hosts the 2014 RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links. Lets see who might make their way to the top of the Leaderboard.

If you like High School, Boo Weekley is your choice this week! Boo and Bubba Watson attended Milton High School near Pensacola. Boos record in his last seven at HT is sterling; 2 wins, 3 top 20s, no missed cuts. Graeme McDowell won the tournament Last year but he seems to have lost his swing during the flight over the Atlantic Ocean?! No ChanceIm going to dangle in the breeze with the RBC 2014; I dont believe there is a Just Gotta Have Him choice this year. Streelman has played well and knows how to compete in the Top 20. Stadler is very much looking like hell be a force for the rest of the 2014 season and had a great Masters! Chris Kirk is coming along nicely. Bill Haas must be pissed after dancing on top at the Masters and falling into the orchestra section soon after. Charley Hoffman is playing well and Jerry Kelly—once he gets over himself—can still kick it around and make a few putts. Fowler would have been my choice this week since it appears he has his wedge issues resolved. Carl Pettersson is always a Player at the RBCif he can learn to push away from the table, he might get the feeling back in his sausage fingers long enough to feel-in a few 15 footers. This tournament is WIDE Open in 2014. Lets pick us a few contenders!

My Favorite: Kevin Streelman (66 Odds to 1 to Win)
Streelman is a pretty good player with one win in him the rest of this year. I believe the win can come here!.

Middle of the Road: Bill Haas (33 Odds to 1 to Win)
If Haas is over his pouting routine that he put on at the Mastersgets pissedhe can lap this field without much effort.

Longshot: Kevin Stadler (50 Odds to 1 to Win)
Great Player and, Im told, an even better guy. The guy can flat-out rake it! Stadler will win again this year!

Graeme McDowell vs. Brandt Snedeker (our pick to win: Snedeker)I believe McDowell is cooked. Even though the heart is there, the will is there, McDowell seems to be tinkering and that spells Off Tour very quickly.

Luke Donald vs. Zack Johnson (our pick to win: Johnson)
You must drive it straight at Harbour Town and Johnson is just about the straightest arrow on Tour. Donald has not yet recovered from 86ing the Scoring Girl at last years US Open. Donald is just too nice to win anymore!
