I cant believe Candlestick Park is not jacked-up by corporate sponsorship and renamed Wurget Wedgey Financial Services and Compost or something? Incredible! The Stick welcomes the South-Sanders this Sunday to find out if its true, Trading Alex Smith might not have been a good idea after all. Holy Lord! Who did the Niners consult for this swap; Jerry Jones? Frisco (I love saying Frisco because locals hate that name!) comes in with more question marks than answers and the volatility of the line suggests no one knows what to expect in this game?! The line openedat most betting markets— with Frisco (Love it!) a +7 favorite. The line went to +11.5 settling in, finally, with Frisco (ibid) +11. Thats a pendulum swing in response to, perhaps, Larry Fitzgeralds wobbling Hammy and/or Mendenhalls who knows??? injury. Most would agree that Fitzgeralds injury doesnt matter since Carson Palmer couldnt see him open if Fitzy wore a safety patrol vest and, even if Palmer could see Fitzy open, he delivers his passes worse than a goatee-ed drunk wearing a leisure suit in a dive bar! Shoot, the line should have come down with Aldon Smith spilliin his life story to a Yoga Master in rehab, and Patrick Willis, Eric Reid, and Vernon Davis all questionable for Sundays game?! Lets see whats going on with the numbers to pick us a Winner!

Frisco (still lovin it!) is not the same team as the 2012 Super Bowl team! The 49-ers sit 18th in scoring and they were 8th last year. Frisco sits 25th in offense total yards andonce againwere 8th a year ago! In total rushing attempts, the 9ers are 6th this year and very similar to the 5th place position they occupied in 2012. It looks like the same mix with pass/run for the 49ers so what is the difference with this 2013 team from the 2012 Super Bowl team? The 49ers are 6th in rushing yardage and were 3rd in 2012, but the 49ers are 31st in passing yardage in 2013 and they were 21st in 2012. San Fran was 17th in 2012 in passing touchdowns while the 9ers are 24th this year in the same category. San Fran is 20th in turnover margin currently but 9th in the NFL last year! Thats a BIG difference-maker statistic! You must have a great turnover margin to be a great team in the NFL; most of the time. Could the 49ers difference between last year and this year be on defense? San Francisco is 5th currently in total defense and ended last year 4th. San Francisco is 29th in the NFL in total rushing attempts by opponents and last year they were 7th in the same category. San Fran is 12th in scoring defense and ended last year 3rd. Truly, in the NFL, the differences in winning a lot of games and having a winning season are usually a very small difference in 1 or 2 aspects of the game. To explain this 49ers season: It isnt Kaepernicks fault, or Harbaughs, or the receivers, or the defenses fault. The 49ers opponents have shortened the game by running the ball more against the 49ers resulting in less scoring by the San Francisco offense: less time to score=less scoring chances. Also, since San Franciscos opponents have chosen to run the ball more the Pick 6 has become less and less likely: less pass attempts by opponents=less opportunities to Pick 6! The 49ers are pretty close to the same team as last year. The only thing that has changed for the 49ers is their opponents and their opponents propensity to run—instead of throw—the rock!

Arizona is a problem. The Cardinals seem to be Always the Brides Maid but Never the Bride. Arizona is like buying your 1st carit looks great on the outside but after youve driven it, you realize— you must hit the right blinker to make the radio come on, the back left taillight fails every 4 days, theres a whole in the floorboard under the carpet in the backseat, and occasionally the car completely shuts down for no apparent reason? Thats the Cardinals! Mendenhall seems hell-bent on getting attention as the 4th best back on the team. Carson Palmer has thrown 5 TDs and 9 Ints, has a QBR rating of 39.5, been sacked 12 times, and is the 2nd coming of Kevin Kolb! Palmer is like the girl you marry thats really pretty but her mother hasnt worn well over the years and you are praying to the Lord that shell be differentand every year the prayers go unanswered! Fitzgerald is fantastic and an exceptional human being! For Fitzy to stay and play under the current Cardinals positionand not stomp his feet like Wack-Job Brandon Marshall or big mouth Cris Carter (by the way; it is spelled with a H Cris!)is a testament to the gentleman with integrity and honor wearing number 11!

This game is a No Contest pitting an upstart and hard charging San Francisco team against semi-pros (except Fitzgerald). San Francisco HUGE here!
