NFL Betting Odds

Week 15 NFL betting odds opened Tampa at -2 for this game, with an over/under of 51.5. Early betting action then steamed the Bucs four points, to -6, and dipped that total to 50.5.

Tampa Bay Betting Preview

The Buccaneers just snapped a two-game losing skid with a 26-14 win over Minnesota last week. Tampa Bay spotted the Vikings the first six points of the game, then used a 23-0 run spanning the halves to take control, on its way toward the victory and the cover as a seven-point favorite.

Tampa actually got out-gained by Minnesota 335-303, out-rushed 162-107 and lost time of possession by a huge 39:21 split. But the Bucs benefited immensely from four missed kicks by Minnesota, which cost the Vikings 10 points.

Tampa Bay has now been out-gained in five of its last six games and out-rushed by four of its last six foes.

Two games ago the Buccaneers got out-gained by Kansas City by 126 yards and lost 27-24, and three games ago they got out-gained by the Rams by 162 yards and lost by that same score.

At 8-5 overall Tampa Bay trails first-place New Orleans by two games in the NFC South but also owns the No. 6 spot in NFC playoff standings, one game clear of No. 7 Arizona. If the playoffs started today the Bucs would play the Rams in Los Angeles in an NFC wild-card game.

Atlanta Betting Preview

The Falcons, meanwhile, own back-to-back losses, after falling to the Chargers out in SoCal last week 20-17. Atlanta trailed 7-0 early but led 17-10 at the half. The Falcons then came up empty offensively from there, as QB Matt Ryan tossed three second-half interceptions, the last of which the Chargers turned into the game-winning field goal at the buzzer.

Atlanta got out-gained by the Chargers 345-319, out-rushed 105-70, lost time of possession by a 34:26 split and lost the turnover battle 3-1, resulting in a -13 points differential.

The Falcons have now been out-gained and out-rushed by four of their last five opponents.

Two weeks ago Atlanta lost to a Drew Brees-less New Orleans 21-16.

At 4-9 overall the Falcons are playing out the string on another disappointing season.

These teams have played eight common opponents this season; Tampa is 7-3 SU, 6-4 ATS against the Saints, Panthers, Broncos, Bears, Packers, Chargers, Raiders and Vikings while Atlanta is 4-6 both SU and ATS vs. that slate of foes.

Buccaneers-Falcons Recent History

Atlanta is 6-1 SU, 4-3 ATS over the last seven meetings with Tampa Bay. However, none of those games involved Tom Brady.

Free NFL Pick

Tampa Bay is driving toward a playoff berth while Atlanta, after winning three of its first four games following the change at head coach, is fizzling out. Also, Brady gets to go against a Falcons defense that ranks 30th in the League against the pass. Also, the Buccaneers’ defense ranks seventh overall and No. 1 against the run. We’ll take Tampa here, minus the points. Hey! Why are you still laying -110 odds when you could be laying only -105 at BetAnySports! ROCK SOLID book!
