The Tennessee Titans kept their season alive last week with a game winning drive against the Oakland Raiders. The Titans beat Oakland 23-19 to earn yet another week of maybe they might have a chance to keep playing after the regular season. Meanwhile the Indianapolis Colts are coming off of a complete beat-down from the Arizona Cardinals last week 40-11. The Colts started the season with an impressive record and two stellar wins over the Broncos and the Seahawks. However, they have managed to be just average as of late and even below average at times behind the leadership or lack thereof in QB Andrew Luck. Luck has been humbled by NFL defenses but it also doesnt help when his best receiver is down in Reggie Wayne. This Sunday the Titans will look to redeem themselves after losing to the Colts two weeks ago in Tennessee 30-27. This game will likely be down to the last drive.

Indianapolis will do what they can to revive their downward spiral but man, it will not be easy even at home. Andrew Luck said the word stink more than a few times in an interview after the Colts debacle last week to the Cardinals. But its not just the QB who is frustrated and feeling the heatits the entire team! With five offensive players out and a defense that recently gets scored on more than the girl next door the Colts have a lot to fix. The Trent Richardson trade has not worked out like the Colts hoped as the running game is nonexistent and Luck has a cast of receivers who are not used to playing in the system. What is the amazing news out of all of the Colts woes? They are two games up in the AFC South, and whos chasing them? The Titans.

Both teams look similar on paper but we know that doesnt mean Indianapolis is going to win 23.9 to 22.7. It will be interesting to see how the Colts respond this week after being embarrassed by the Cardinals. The matchup between the QBs (Luck vs. Fitzpatrick) might be more in Fitzpatricks favor considering the Colts laundry list of injuries. However, Mr. Luck does have home field advantage which should help him get back to the mentality he needs to shake off the funk and get things going.

Defensively, the Titans are more consistent lately as the Colts tend to give up more and more especially through the air. I like the Titans energy and quest to keep the season going. Tennessee is 5-0 ATS on the road and 4-2ATS as the underdog, and perhaps more importantly, 3-0 ATS as the underdog on the road. The Colts have won the last four head to head matchups going back to December 18, 2011. The Colts are 2-3 ATS at home and 2-5 ATS as the favorite, but they are 0-3 ATS as the favorite at home. The line on this contest is Colts -4, total 44.5.

It always comes down to defensethe Colts D is hurting more than any other component and if they dont make the adjustments this week it will be another beating but this time on their own turf. Andrew Luck will definitely need to do his best to lead this team and the whole team will need to dig deep and find some kind of winning identity to stop the hopeful Titans this weekend. Even at home the Colts will suffer another lossthey just have too many thorns in their side to play at the level they need to win consistently in the NFL. Take the Titans plus the points!
