Roulette: 2nd 12 Bet (13-24)

Roulette: The 2nd 12 Bet (13-24)
by Jason Green of Predictem.com

There are so many bets that you can make when playing Roulette, which is why it is such a fun and exciting game. One of the bets that you can make is the 13-24 bet. This is referred to as a “dozen’s bet” because you are betting on one of a dozen numbers to hit. The dozen’s bet is one of the outside bets that you can make in Roulette, as there are both inside and outside bets. The inside bets are the actual numbers where you can bet on individual numbers to hit, 2 numbers to hit, or 4 numbers to hit. The outside bets give smaller payouts, but there is more of a chance that they will hit. Some of the outside bets are odd or even, red or black, 1-18 or 19-36 and the dozen’s bets.

The three dozen’s bets are 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36. If you bet $10 on 13-24 you are wagering that a number between 13 and 24 will hit when the wheel is spun and the ball comes to rest. If a number between 13 and 24 hits with your $10 bet, your payout will be $30, as the dozen’s bets give you 2:1 odds. It’s that simple. You can make the 13-24 bet by itself and you can also make it as well as placing other bets throughout the table. One strategy that is used often when people bet on a dozen’s bet, is to also bet on individual numbers that correspond to their dozen’s bet. For example, if you bet on 13-24, then you also will bet on individual numbers of 13 through 24. What this will do is maximize your payout, as you will not only get paid out 2:1 with your 13-24 bet, if it hits, but you will also win the inside individual numbers bet. This will give you a good little score.

THE BEST PLACE TO PLAY ONLINE ROULETTE: BOVADA CASINO

If you play Roulette over the Internet you should look for a net casino that offers the European version of the game because it will lower the house edge. In European Roulette there is a house edge of 2.7% and with American Roulette there is a house edge of 5.3%. In European Roulette there is only one zero on the wheel and in the American version there is the one zero and double zero. It goes without saying that there are better odds, albeit slight ones, that the 13-24 bet will hit if there is one less chance of hitting a zero when playing the European version.

No matter where you play Roulette it is vital that you know what the table minimum is and what the table maximum is before you start to play. The table minimum will be the minimum amount that you can make on one bet. For example, if the table minimum is $1 then the minimum amount you can make on any one bet, such as 13-24, is $1. The table maximum is the maximum amount that you can bet on one spin. For example, if the table maximum is $100 then $100 is the maximum amount you can make, whether it is one bet or many bets, on one spin. You can bet the max on one bet or you can make many different combination bets, but you cannot surpass the maximum betting limit.
