Nationals pitcher Erick Fedde has been putrid on the road lately. If you throw out a good outing he had against Baltimore on 6/21, his last four starts away from home have yielded a massive 21 earned runs over only 13.2 innings. Yes, he had shoulder inflammation and has missed almost a month, but that doesn’t explain his 5.45 road ERA in 2021 either. Fedde will be opposed by lefty ace Robbie Ray, who has had some hard luck starts as of late. Ray has a 2.33 ERA this month but only one win to show for it.
