The Seattle Seahawks continued their downward spiral last week on Sunday Night football as they dropped a home game against the Arizona Cardinals 39-32. In a game where the Hawks were favored by 2.5 they couldnt hold on like so many other times this seasonlosing the game in the 4th quarter. Meanwhile, Carson Palmer of the Cardinals was terrific in his approach and methodically picked apart an overrated secondary who has proven time and again that they can be beat both on the deep ball and in the red zone. If youre still riding the Legion of Boom bandwagon you might want to jump off before it completely crashes and burns. It doesnt get any easier for Seattle the rest of the way either.

Sure, they have the below .500 49ers this week but thats it folks! After this week it is a long and difficult road to the end of the season and hopes of a playoff wildcard at this point. Seattle will host the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 29th, then its off Minnesota and Baltimore (two tough teams on the road), then back home for the Browns and the Rams, and finally the Seahawks finish off the regular season on the road at Arizona. Ouch! The Hawks will need to really step up their game on both sides of the ball if they want a shot at the playoffs this season. I hate to admit this to some fans but the Hawks Super Bowl days have come and gone. Unless this team figures out to have a consistent offensive attack and not rely on Russell Wilson to make something happen every 4th quarter along with not having a total meltdown defensively at the end of games they will be done.

For San Francisco, this may be the best time of the season to take advantage of what is happening in Seattlego get a win boys! We all know the Niners history with the Hawks and it used to be a decent rivalry but who knows what will happen this week when these two teams take the turf? On paper, Seattle has the edge in this contest but the Niners are coming off of a win over Atlanta and look to continue their winning streak to two game! SF QB Kaepernick has struggled the past few years and in fact, the coaching staff has not named a starting QB as of this writing. The Niners also quickly cut Pierre Thomas after just signing him a week ago, but instead, they have now picked up RB Travaris Cadet, who Head Coach Jim Tomsula was quoted as saying, Cadet is shiftier, its just the style of play, kind of having a one-two type of thing. The Niners will definitely need to establish a running game that will certainly help their efforts in the passing game especially with the now human Seattle secondary D.

The 49ers are 1-3 ATS on the road as dogs and 4-5 ATS as underdogs overall. Seattle is 2-6 ATS and 1-3 ATS as at home this season, but they have not been underdogs at home this year. The Seahawks have won the last 4 matchups between these two teams dating back to January 19, 2014. As far as points per game goes the Seahawks are definitely favored in this category as they have averaged 19.75 points per game in the last 4 matchups while San Fran has only managed 7.5 points against the Hawks. This time around may be different but Seattle has had the Niners number for a while now and they will be desperately seeking a win to salvage their less-than-stellar season thus far.

I like the Seahawks to regroup this week and handle the 49ers at home. Russell Wilson will get the engine running and the rest of the boys will be on board for a Seattle home blowout of the Niners. I just do not see the Niners being effective with a so-so picked up RB and a defense that is allowing nearly 25 points per game.

Take Seattle to cover the 12.5. Luck to ya.
