After an exciting U.S. Open, the PGA Tour enters its final chapter for 2019. The British Open at Royal Portrush is a month away and the FedEx finish at East Lake comes prior to the end of August so there is precious little time left for the PGA pros to make something of their season if they haven’t already. Here are our picks to make some noise and win their head to head matches as well as our best value selections for tourney winner.

This new PGA Tour schedule certainly gives a different feel to the season and we are somehow already at the third Major of the year. It seems like yesterday when Tiger was just finishing up his remarkable career comeback at Augusta but that was two months ago and we breezed through Brooks Koepka dominating the PGA Championship. As we go through the meat of the summer Tour stops, the best usually rise to the top and that coincides nicely with the USGA’s mission to identify the best golfer at this national championship. But how about the best value bet, AKA the best return on our investment? Ted Walker reviews the odds and gives his picks!

Dustin Johnson leads the field this week and he will be looking to defend his 2018 Canadian Open crown. Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka are the other headliners in the field with Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia and Henrik Stenson as part of a strong veteran contenders group. The Tiger v. Jack debate received a little boost with Woods’ most recent Green Jacket win but no matter who ends up with more Majors, Jack will always have a claim to golf’s throne. Jack puts just as much effort into his course and his tournament. The PGA makes it annual trip to Jack’s Place this week and few events outside Majors have the draw that The Memorial does.
