WTF? The LA Dodgers have signed SS Jose Uribe to a 3 year deal worth over 7 mill per season. Dude only hit .248 last season. Not a real bright deal by Dodger brass. – 11/29

Tuesday MLB Play: Take the OVER 9 runs in the Brewers/Cardinals game. Both starting pitchers are VERY suspect in recent starts and we’re anticipating 12 runs being scored in this game. – 8/17

Monday Pick: Take the Baltimore Orioles at -130. Bergesen has been dealing as of late only allowing 4 earned runs over his last 23 innings. The Orioles seemed to have a renewed interest in winning since Showalter took over. Mariners P Fister is a decent pitcher but has really struggled on the road, as have the M’s winning only 17 times away from Safeco while dropping 40. Great value with the O’s tonight at -130! – 8/16

Mets Closer Injured: NYM closer Francisco Rodriguez reportedly has a torn thumb ligament that will require surgery and end his 2010 season. – 8/16

Sunday MLB: Passing. – 8/15

Saturday Picks: Today’s play is the San Diego Padres at -115. I’m really surprised that they’re not favored by more as there’s quite a few really strong reasons to take them today. For starters, Mat Latos is absolutely on fire allowing only 6 earned runs in his last 50.2 IP. He excels in day games. His daytime stats? 1.70 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and opposing hitters are only hitting .155 in the daylight against him. Furthermore, the guy apparently loves pitching at AT&T Park as his early appearance there this year resulted in a ONE HITTER! On the flip side of the coin, Giants starter Bumgarner has been in a bit of a decline lately and he pitches worse at home than he does on the road. His home numbers are a mediocre 4.82 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and he allows a .274 avg. to opposing hitters. I also like the fact that his day-game numbers are much worse than his night-time starts. The Padres have won 5 games in a row while the Giants are 4-6 in their last 10. As with any game, any team can win on any given day, but this play looks as solid as any. Good luck! – 8/14

Friday MLB Play: It’s a mystery to us why the Angels are favored tonight. This is a horrible matchup for Angels SP Scott Kazmir. The Jays are loaded with big bats and Kazmir has absolute stunk at home this year as evidenced by his home ERA of 7.28, WHIP of 1.62 and opposing hitters drilling him for a .303 average. In case your wondering, his 5 inning 13 earned run performance a couple starts ago was a road game and don’t even factor into these poor numbers. Great value tonight with Toronto at +112. – 8/13

Trade Announcement: The SF Giants have acquired power-hitting cannon-armed Jose Guillen from the KC Royals for cash and a player to be named later. This is an odd move as OF Pat Burrell is hitting really well right now. – 8/13

Thursday MLB Pick: Take the Baltimore Orioles at +119 tonight. Believe it or not, Baltimore is heating up. They’ve won 4 in a row but that isn’t the reason for this play. Indians starter Gomez might have some nice numbers in his 3 starts, but it’s all been via “dumb luck”. This kid isn’t a good pitcher. Wrong team favored. – 8/12

Wednesday Prediction: Take the Orioles/Indians to go UNDER 9 runs. Both pitchers are hitting very well and both offenses are questionable. – 8/11

Tuesday Prediction: Tampa Bay Rays at +103 to beat the Detroit Tigers. – 8/10

Monday Play: Seattle Mariners at -103. -8/9

Sunday Betting Prediction: Seattle Mariners at -145. – 8/8

Saturday Selection: Arizona Diamondbacks at +115. – 8/7

Friday MLB Play: Arizona Diamondbacks +102. – 8/6

Thursday Play: Texas Rangers at +106 – 8/5

Sad News: Braves SP Kris Medlen was having a good year. He’s been diagnosed with a partial tear of his ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing arm. It’s very likely that the injury will require Tommy John surgery ending his season and probably half fo the 2011 season as well. In other injury news, Red Sox 1B Kevin Youkalis will miss the rest of the 2010 season with a torn muscle in his right thumb. – 8/5

Sunday Prediction: Arizona Diamondbacks +125 – 7/18
