The Los Angeles Rams shoot to clinch a playoff berth while the Minnesota Vikings hope to stay alive in the NFC playoff picture when the teams meet Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis. With ten wins already, LA only needs one more victory over its last three games to clinch a spot in the postseason; the 7-7 Vikes, on the other hand, might need to win out.

NFL Betting Lines
The Week 15 NFL betting odds opened the Rams as a three-point road favorite for this game, with an over/under of right around 49. Early betting action was holding both those figures steady.
Vikings Betting Preview
Los Angeles is 3-0 both SU and ATS over its last three games after beating Seattle Tuesday night 20-10. The Rams, playing as 7.5-point favorites, trailed the Seahawks 10-3 well into the third quarter, then scored the last 17 points of the game to secure the victory. LA also added a field goal with two minutes left to grab the cover.
The Rams out-gained Seattle 332-214, out-rushed the Seahawks 123-80 and won the time of possession by a 35:25 split.
Two weeks ago, LA won at Arizona 30-23, evening the season series with the Cardinals at a game apiece. At 10-4 overall, the Rams are now tied with Arizona for first place in the NFC West, although the Cardinals own the tie-breaker on Los Angeles thanks to a better divisional record. But LA can also clinch a wild-card playoff berth with a win Sunday.
Rams Betting Preview
Minnesota, meanwhile, is 2-0 both SU and ATS its last two times out after winning at Chicago Monday night 17-9. The Vikings scored the first 10 points of the game, led 10-3 at the half, then scored the first seven points of the second half and held on from there for the win and the money as 6.5-point favorites.
Minnesota actually got out-gained by the Bears 370-193 but won the turnover battle 3-1 and just generally benefited from Chicago’s ineptness.
The Vikings have been out-gained by five of their last eight opponents, but they’ve also out-rushed six of their last ten foes. They’re also 6-3 ATS over their last nine games.
At 7-7 overall, Minnesota can’t catch division-leading Green Bay in the NFC North, but it does own the No. 7 spot in the NFC playoff standings, a tie-breaker ahead of New Orleans and Philadelphia.
These two teams met most recently four seasons ago; a 38-31 Rams win in LA. Jared Goff, no longer a Ram, threw five touchdown passes that day.
Common Opponents
These two teams have played six common opponents this season; LA is 5-3 SU, 4-4 ATS against the Cardinals, Seahawks, Lions, Packers, 49ers, and Bears and -1 yards per game, while Minnesota is 4-3 both SU and ATS against those foes but -25 YPG.

Minnesota owns the better running game, but Los Angeles owns the better defense, especially against the run. And in match-ups like this, we love betting on the better defense. Also, the Vikings got a bunch of gifts from the Bears Monday night; that won’t happen Sunday. We like the Rams here, the better team playing on the road, where spreads tend to be friendlier.
