The New York Giants will return to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey to welcome one of the NFCs most powerful teams of recent to the Meadowlands. The G-Men will host the Seattle Seahawks in a NFC West vs. NFC East intraconference clash. The two teams last met in the Pacific Northwest when the Giants were routed by the Hawks 38-17 in front of the 12th Man at Qwest Field. Overall, the Seahawks have won the last three contests between both sides. The activities are set to kick off at 4:25 PM ET and will be aired for regional demographics on FOX.

The storyline surrounding the Giants is Big Blue earning its first win of the season. It couldnt have been done in a more incredulous manner. After suffering injuries to their starting ensemble of receivers, the G-Men offense would ignite against the most unlikely of parties in the most treacherous of venues. The Giants would take to the road and head up to the Mile High City where as a 13.5-point underdog the G-Men would take down the Denver Broncos by a score of 23-10. Denver had entered the contest with just one loss on the season and were regarded by many as a lock to win against New York. Needless to say the Giants had other ideas and as a result of this sterling effort, the Giants enter this week subject to an overreaction given what they achieved. The result sent ripples across the NFL in what was classed as one of the years biggest upsets season-to-date.

The Seahawks were off last week but previous to their engagements, they had won two games in a row. This is crucial considering the Seahawks started off 1-2. Seattle has emerged as a perennial contender for the NFC and the dominant force in the NFC West. With the division taking steps backward compared to its height of supremacy a few years ago, many expect the Seahawks to rule this division with an iron fist. So far they have, as they are undefeated in divisional play. The two losses on the Seahawks docket this year came against Green Bay at home in Week 1 and at Tennessee in Week 3 where the Titans exposed the Legion of Boom in a 33-28 victory.

Seattle started off the season as a non-profitable venture for takers as they failed to cover in their first three outings. Since then, the Seahawks have bounced back in their last two contests as an against-the-spread option. Naturally, Seattle is a team that is prone to being overvalued by virtue of their reputation. On the contrary, the Giants have been far more economical against the spread despite their ugly record on the year. This is because their stock has plummeted and as a result they are now taking back enhanced points. This narrative can be utilized to our advantage in this contest due to the narratives materializing from last weeks endeavors

Out of the gate, we have noticed a huge lean on the Giants. This can be chalked up to what transpired in Denver. The price in this market has already diminished by two points. But the opening number was designed to attract attention on the Giants. In some markets, we saw New York priced as a 7.5-point dog at the off. This affords takers the chance to take the Giants and be secure even if they lose by a touchdown. With respect to the last week, this makes the G-Men look too easy. Arguments that this contest is taking place in the Meadowlands with an invigorated fan base justify the proposition even more, but the initial price speaks volumes in itself.

As a result of what we have seen in the early stages of this market, we have an opportunity to step in on a likely short-priced favorite. We would expect to normally have to pay a premium to back to the Seahawks but in this rare case, we are getting them as a value play. Very likely Denver was caught napping when playing host to the Giants and Seattle wont make the same mistake. This one has Seahawks written all over it.
